New and the definition of uninitiated

Hello folks,

I am on the younger side and have never really participated in online sleuthing though the idea fascinated me. I joined here because of its reputation for being helpful and professional. This of course comes with the downside of me feeling completely out of my depth. Obviously sleuthing is something everyone is capable of on paper, and I do not intend to post here without complete confidence in whatever it is I am saying but if any of you have any good resources on how to get started or how to sleuth in general, I would be much obliged.
