If BSL thought an area was safe enough to burn a truck, he also might have thought it was safe enough to bury a body. They might want to look for Ali near there.

I am willing to bet that in order for MS family to agree with a plea deal is that 1-He had to reveal the location of her, 2- He also has to testify in open court to every detail he did with MS and LP. This will be for the family and community. By doing this the DA preserves that testimony in case there are other's linked to BSL...then the state will not use another plea deal on him. MOO

BSL's lawyers probably either know or suspect there are other cases. His plea deal would cover those.

Has anyone heard of any legal precedence for this? Do we have a lawyer or PA on here? I suppose if he did this, it would circumvent any appeals? Hopefully...

It could be appealed but it would be very very hard to get it overturned.
make that very, very, very, very, very

'Wouldn't ya think that the TX investigator working Alexxandria "Ali" Lowitzer's case would have picked up on that clue immediately'?

..and then concluded that the VOI had an out of state license plate & prolly an out of state POI/RSO driving it..rather than handling her case as a possible runaway...rather than a probable stranger abduction..

Some LA plates have 3 letters. i see a lot with PIE as the first 3 characters

Is tomorrow's hearing to he held in lafayette?
If it is determined that the murder was actually commited in a parish other than lafayette, would his trial be held in the parish where the murder occurred?

One night I witnessed an assault. It all happened at break neck speed. Taking down the license plate NUMBER was so important, in truth, it never dawned on me to look for 'where' the plate was from. I assumed (eek) the plate was local, and by the grace of God it was. Just being focused on the number was an exercise in itself.

http://www.theind.com/news/11195-will-lavergne-take-the-stand-friday

KATC points out that Lavergne has a sister in Montgomery County, Texas, which is just north of Harris County (our sources say his sister is a key witness in the Shunick case and has been very cooperative).

I've received info that BSL's sister does indeed live in Montgomery Co.

(removed remainder of post, based on pending WS Insider garryb's clarification of a mis-identified spouse of BSL's bio-sister)

Trucks have 1 letter followed by 6 numbers. On trucks under 7,500 lbs the first letter is X.

learn something new on websleuths everyday. this tidbit and feu follet, which i only ever knew as a road in lafayette until today are what i learned today

Where is the map someone posted earlier this week, which shows the location of the reported home of bio-sister of BS Lavergne?

Not that it matters, but that map showed an incorrect location for the bio-sister. Not even close.

I've received info that BSL's sister does indeed live in Montgomery Co. She's recently married (as of 2010) to a guy who owns (or owned) a deer/game processing business located in the general area of their home. That property needs to be thoroughly examined, IMO.

Again, not sure where you are getting your information, but what you just said about the guy is patently false.
You guys should make sure you are quoting fact on this forum.

My daughter had a case (as a victim) whereupon the DA was offering a plea to the perp. The DA ran it past me first. (my daughter was a minor).I wanted closure so badly, to put it behind us and move forward, that I agreed to his plea. And it was an iron case slam dunk.

As I posted earlier, DA's will give victims and their families wishes weight but they cannot direct the prosecution to either accept or deny a plea. In your daughter's case, the DA listened to your wishes. He was not obligated by law to do that though.

Most states provide victims with some level of prosecutorial consultation about a negotiated plea agreement; however, the extent of their participation varies widely from state to state. In no state is the right to confer interpreted as the right to direct the prosecution of the case or to veto decisions of the prosecutor.

In Louisiana, victims have the right to be reasonably heard at any public proceeding in the district court involving the release, plea, sentencing, or any parole proceeding;

Consultation. Victims are allowed to provide input at various stages of a case, including the dismissal of charges, release of accused pending trial, plea agreement terms, victim views on sentencing, and restitution. The Victim-Witness Staff is available to ensure that your views are expressed to the Assistant United States Attorney assigned to the case.

Basically, victims are allowed input.

My comment wasn't directed at the PI Mac Sanford, but to the LEO Detective working the missing person investigation..

It concerns me when the family of a missing/murdered person is silenced.. The reason, from years of researching missing person's investigations is usually due to the lack of performance; dropped ball..imo

'Bringing Adam(Walsh) Home' by Les Standiford & Miami Det. Joe Matthews, is an excellent documented example of this.

No I totally get what you were saying :) I agree as well.
It's sad that it takes more tragedies to bring about details of other cases.

Again, not sure where you are getting your information, but what you just said about the guy is patently false.

Are you an insider? If not, what makes you speak so authoritatively?

To your point, I should have done a better job of labeling it as ***Hearsay*** (as I've done with other bits of info I've received, every one of which has turned out true, I might add).

FYI, I haven't posted names, addresses, or photos. But, that being said, if it turns out that the info I have received is inaccurate, I'll retract it.

Fox fire, the P. I. Mac Sanford who works on Ali's case does so money free. So my guess is the family originally had a paid investigator. We should direct your question to that investigator haha because Mac Sanford seems to be the one putting the pieces together! Thankfully.

And the license plate is just a slither of evidence released

He's also a skip tracer.

will they allow any news channel to video tomorrow's hearing? i know it says no phones etc, but does that include the media??
