Heeeey everyone. I’m 28 and have been most fascinated with True Crime cases/stories since I was about 14 years old. Currently, I work within the Fraud Industry. I have been in this industry for about 5 years. While working, I listen to countless true crime podcasts during the day. I feel my calling is to pivot into this industry, but I’m so lost on where to begin as I’m only a high school graduate. If anyone has any ideas 💡, PLEASE KINDLY SHARE!!!! ANYWAY, NICE TO MEET YOU Sleuthers ❤️ can’t wait to dive in and join some of these conversations!!!!

Wrongful convictions often times result in law enforcement conducting crappy investigations because of the pressure from the public, corrupt officers and officials, and also one’s racial identity.

I am new too! thank you for starting this thread. I am overwhelmed. Which cases are being focused on currently? I see a lot of cases and threads with old posts. How do I get started? How do I start a thread? I've read the FAQ's ... Thank you!

Hello, @PrincessSleuth and @Jovial !! Welcome to Websleuths!! I know it can seem overwhelming, it takes awhile, but you'll get the hang of it. If you want to ease in a bit take a look in the members only forums , called the Jury Room and The Parking Lot. These are more laid back, fun threads including
music ,pets, hobbies, sports, etc. See you there. And if you have any questions, ask away, people here are friendly and will try to help!!

I recommend working on an existing thread and once you get the hang of it, start a thread later. You could try to match unidentified bodies with missing persons. That will get you experience searching Namus.

I am struggling to find current posts.
