It just breaks my heart to see Austin sitting there with his Mom, listening to the convo in the jail, while the other 2 children are outside. Who the heck is watching them while they're in the jail for the visit?

Lisa was out in the van with the kids, at least in one instance. On the one tape, Lindsy sends Austin to go out to the van and get her,b/c it's her turn.

I was just coming here to say the same! The pain on that little child's face was very evident throughout.... it was painful for me to even to watch. The way his eyebrows furrowed, the way he kept looking down? Too sad. He also shouldn't be subjected to his Dad's potty mouth either. Grrr....

It was the child's eyes that bothered me-- tired, stressed, deep dark circles, nudging his mother for her comfort, not his own. That child is being groomed to be the responsible male in his mommy's life, and is likely to feel the pressures to provide far more than the opportunities of an education.

It's hard to witness, very hard. I hope Lindsay's family has some solid role models for those children to focus on for a few crucial years.

At least Lindsy's grandparents have put some restrictions by not letting Lisa and HAnk Sr. move to the condo at Palm Coast with her. Things may look different to her when she's living on her own, being the sole support for those kids, and not listening to Tommy's "I love you's" and "I'm done with that stuff" for the billionth time.

iirc, Haleigh's mother alluded to much the same thing in the custody hearings.

I think if the little boy asks to go, it's probably o.k., because not seeing his dad might make him feel even worse. Also, he needs to see his dad for who he is. That's a harsh reality for a little kid, but Tommy did this to himself. If he's really serious about straightening up, he can try to repair the damage later. What fools people are to ruin their families over drugs.

If you just make a few thousand in the year and have several kids you can get 5 to 10k back in earned income credit.

Well, that explains rc's motive for custody.

great question...you would have to work and pay taxes to get a refund the way i know it...we have 5 children, and work...yet when it all balances it out..we are lucky to break even, nevermind get a refund big enough for a tank of gas never mind what they all have planned to do with theirs.

Earned Income Credit I think they call it.
I have a girlfriend that didn't work, maybe a couple of thousand of dollars in income, on state benefits and occasional child support. When she filed her taxes and go the EIC thing she got $4500 back, or something very close to that. But it exceeded her taxable income by far.
