BBM - to burn things at high intensity heat?

The acid sounds like an option too... This is crazy. Seems like so much to this story. My heart goes out to the families of all involved...

DM could have used Jet fuel to burn a body.

Though, there is a possibility the hazard waste is is from the previous owner, something may have been dumped before we became more concerned about our environment.

Yeah, maybe they watch Breaking Bad...

I don't know about jet fuel. Why store jet fuel at a remote farm when Millard has a hangar (or hangars--I admit I don't track the "Millard properties" data very closely)?
Interesting that it's not just one unit, but several. I notice that they're specialist in structural collapse as well. Maybe they've run into a structural issue inside? Even if there was a barrel or two of a suspicious substance, would it warrant this type of presence?

I have probably watched way too many crime shows, but could the hazardous material perhaps be acid? I won't say what I am thinking, even though my gut is on high alert.

I thought that too r.e. acid.

Me, I have no idea--I've been waiting impatiently for you bigger-picture thinkers to get in here and give us ideas. =D I'm kind of speechless at the ARMY of investigators out there. They have to have found something to warrant all this, right?

Yellow police tape being wrapped around the front of the barn.#DellenMil

Is this the first time there is yellow tape being put during this search?

The ambulance is probably a precautionary measure. I hope.

What on earth went on at that farm?!?!?

With environmental laws the way they are, I can't imagine savvy buyers like the Millards allowing hazardous waste to remain on the property from the previous owners. WM, with his aviation maintenance background would know the cost involved in disposal and clean up. Just can't see those things being left behind and it's hard to imagine WM and DM moving ahead with a purchase without thoroughly examining the barn. JMHO

That's what I'm thinking to.

So maybe fertilizer or pesticide?

Maybe there's just a lot of it and they need to get it out of the way for the safety of the forensic investigators?

(Sorry, I know that's less dramatic, but I assume they referred to the item as 'not uncommon' for a reason.)

Wouldn't you think LE would contact the farmers that DM purchased the farm off of to find out if the barrels where there when they sold the farm, and perhaps if they knew what was in them before they called in a whole chemical swat team to test them? JMHO

Pesticides being flammable could explain the fire presence...

MM has tweeted that North Dumphries Fire Dept is there as well, so I'm leaning towards safety as well. JMHO

I suspect they may have.

The former owner was there yesterday. I saw a clip of him stating that no machinery was left at the farm but no mention of chemicals. I think it was on CTV. I will try to find the link to back this up.

Here it is..correction...he states "only a few pieces of equipment were left behind"
