My apologies, my aim was to post a picture captured today by tweeter and photo journalist Mathew McCarthy, but alas I can not figure out how to render the pic from my mobile device.

Mathew McCarthy (@McCarthyRecord) tweeted at 1:55pm - 11 Sep 13:

A. Can anyone identify what equipment the forensic techs are using?
B. Can anyone guess what the older piece of equipment being examined is?

I think the piece of forensic equipment has a lens. Not sure.

Asked about the search, Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair told reporters police have yet to conclusively determine whether Babcock met with foul play and will continue to look for evidence at the farm.

“We are sufficiently concerned that we are investing the resources at the time to go and see if that evidence does exist,” he said.

“When we have something to report publicly, I’m sure that’ll happen.”

[...]

[P]olice say their search warrant is usable for “as long as we need to finish what we’re doing.”

Looks like a Pelican Rescue Area Light. Self contained, 6-8' shaft height,
about half a shift run time.

Great for remote rescue or SWAT ops in remote areas.

ETA And apparently great for old pig/dairy barn lighting. lol

May be farfetched, but you could look at this in a couple of different ways.

It looks like it could be some sort of ghoulish artwork, depicting what, I don't even want to guess, but it also looks like the outline of a spinal column and then the pelvic bones?

Just imo

Based on what you just wrote, I imported this into photoshop and rotated it in a few directions. I made no other changes to the image other than to rotate it vertically in both directions.

I really hate to say it, but rotated with the paper bag end at the bottom, it does resemble, to me, a head slumped to the side, possibly a rib cage or arm?, spinal column, and pelvis.

I am not saying I'm right or even believe this, and I really hope it's not true.

What do you think?

IMO the board just a red herring and has no significance at all.

After two days of scouring accused killer Dellen Millard’s farm, Toronto cops have yet to find any trace of his former girlfriend.

Definitely not animal defecation as it is black and too transparent and has a flowing pattern not the consistency one would expect from animal waste.

It does not look black to me at all.... and not even transparent.imo
Animal waste is not always in cute little packages from the waste I have seen JMO

Highly doubt DM would grow pot plants in the barn, remember he's suppose to be intelligent. Pot plants need light source. I highly doubt he had light source hooked up inside the barn. Too many gaps and openings, the light would come through and be visible at night. And considering he had a huge area of farmland where he could have grown them outdoors. Wonder if LE scoured the property looking for plants.

I wasn't suggesting that DM was growing pot plants at all.... I suggested it may be from a plant pot or a pot plant..... with no idea of when it could have been placed there.....ie./ before farm was purchased is always a possibility... Most plants need a light source.... plants can be grown in rooms created within rooms... and many other creative places.... so always a possibility.... imo (which would deal with gaps and openings being an issue jmo)

Usually its OTHER PEOPLE who grow pot plants on someones land...not usually the owner... HTH

Hiding out there? Who could that someone be? Are you suggesting LB? Who would want to hide out in a barn full of hay and maybe piggy excrement? I could think of a zillion other places more favourable then a smelly, gross pig barn.

No not suggesting LB .... but maybe someone was lying in wait the night TB apparently arrived there...always a possibility.... imo

The stains on the board very well could be blood or bodily fluids. When blood dries and has aged it will turn black or a dark brown. The bag on the end of the board my contain hair or dried flesh which adhered to the board.

There would be more body fluids than that imo from a dead body.... unless it was an animal...which is what it looks like to me....

I think and would hope that if there was dried flesh and a clump of human hair attached to the board that LE would have found it on the first search.... not now when many people ....have been visiting and contaminating the farm since the last search.... JMO

IMHO DM murdered LB and then decided to order the incinerator. Wish we knew the exact date the incinerator was purchased; my guess is a couple days after LB's murder. He knew if he buried her remains there was a huge possibility they could be found. I have a suspicion DM stored LB's body in the barn, wrapped in something which allowed bodily fluids to leak/seep out. He stored her body there until he received the incinerator and then transferred her remains to the incinerator.

Why bother ordering an incinerator after murdering someone ??? Why not just burn as much as possible with gasoline and a match....then take the rest in a bag and scatter across the countryside.... much cleaner and much less likely to be found JMO.... A stored body would attract all kinds of animals and personally I would not want to view the remains after it having been partially eaten and smelling like a backed up sewer at best. I respect your opinion but I cannot see how it can be an actual reality imo....

After he transferred her remains from the barn into the incinerator, DM towed it back into the bush and fired it up. When MSM referred to new information, I guess that could also indicate forensics have found LB's DNA in the ashes from the incinerator.

I highly doubt it....jmo.... I think returning to a location months after the fact and after you are supposed to have been searching for a body is rather amateurish imo. Anyone could have been there and anyone could have done anything there since.... For example someone could have used the place for sex or a murder since then..... thinking it was safe after the search had ended. Not only that you get some psychos who are attracted to such places and could have put anything there and called the police anonymously.... nothing would surprise me... JMO

I assume because we have not heard yet they have discovered LB is deceased, is because her remains were not found, just indications such as bodily fluids. I won't be surprised if LE announce within this week or early next week their discovery. :( ALL MOO.

I think their discovery will be further animal remains and some drug residue.... and no I am not suggesting it was from DM...

I wish I could be optimistic and believe LB is still alive, but I cannot. Statically she would have been found alive by now or there would have been possible sightings/information in the last year. She would have contacted someone from her past. Including DM. How ironic he was the last person to have cell phone contact with her. And so many calls over a few days. I don't think it was just casual conversations; plans were being made. DM just needed a couple of days to figure out how it was all going to go down. The fact there has been absolutely nothing in over a year, including information of the FB page set up for her, tells me this wll not a good ending. :moo:

We do not know who was the last one to have cell phone contact with her or any other contact.... Most calls to DM were not answered....most of my inbound calls go unanswered if I am busy.... nothing strange there...imo

So Lb's calls to DM involved calls to decide how her disappearance was going to go down???? thats a strange scenario.... are you suggesting that he was asking her what he should do with her ???

Police declined to provide any more details, other than to say that new information led to the latest search. [/I]

Probably an anonymous tip ...they love those !!! even if its pure nonsense...JMO..... if they failed to find anything in the barn in May.... what makes them think something has suddenly shown up now.... very weird imo... just because they found remains in May ..that should not have been a reason to stop looking... what about scouring the whole place and leaving no stone unturned in an attempt to figure out what actually happened ???....... No such luck...they have to go back four months later and have another go..... so much for professionalism imo....

Why would anyone want a drill press in a barn? If it were there from previous owners, there were pigs in there, so what use would it be? I am just questioning out loud my thoughts. It just seems like an odd place to "store" or to use a machine like that IMO.

I figured a workshop would be the best place... :banghead:
I am a city folk, so what do I know about barns?? Hence the questioning out loud, hoping for a good answer.

Could this be a picture of something that took place on that drill press?!!

Were they on the second floor looking at that suspected drill press or on the main floor? It wouldn't be typical IMO,or judging from the old barns I've been in, to have machinery like that on an upper level of a barn. Usually hay, straw and a good old rope swing are in the lofts!
Ah, fond memories of my youth spent visiting friends who had a dairy operation-we'd spend hours up in the hay loft.

Speaking of kitchens, it looks to me like a stove, washing machine, or a dryer between the (drill press?) and water heater.
