Right before I disabled all the filters, I set up a new bypass to handle your region, specifically, so even if I have to lock us down again, you specifically should be safe!

Computer genius. Thank you so much for all you do.

I still have to prove I am human too. Not great but I’ll take it, it beats not being able to access WS at all. I hope the DDOS attacks go away for good and we can get back to normal.

Verified Human Being here, once again!

I guess no one asks me since I'm a cat!

Just posting this here (posted it yesterday on another thread and @Cool Cats helpfully pointed me in this direction where it's being discussed):

"I don't know where to put this as there's no useful eg. 'help accessing the site' thread on here. Which is what I need and this is the question I really, urgently, need a response to:

Why am I having to go through 'human' verification (via Cloudflare) every time I access this site? I've never had to do it previously and nothing has changed as far as my location/connection/log-in details are concerned. But now, every single time I access the site over the last couple of weeks, I have to go through this tedious verification nonsense."

I'm In Ireland, if that has any significance.

Thanks in advance.

NB. As of today, still getting the 'verification' instruction. Additionally, I can only access websleuths via a google of the site, as opposed to just clicking on a bookmark as I've always done.

Please make it stop.

Strange, what search engine do you use, I use Brave on a fire tablet and Samsung internet on my phone.

@Fraize, I never sign out of Websleuths, so I haven’t had to prove I’m human. But am I taking a risk leaving Websleuths on all the time? I’ve done it for years and I think I’m still human. 😂 Thanks!

ETA: I’m on an ipad Pro and use Safari. My internet is through Spectrum, if any of this matters.

Google search/Google chrome browser, same (usually) on phone.

But it's clearly not the search engine/browser that's the issue since it's affecting numerous people, and probably a whole lot more than have posted here about the prob, all with different 'search' set-ups.

It would be interesting to know if it's a location thing, I'm in the SW of the UK no issues you say you're in Ireland?

I am not sure where to post this issue. But has anyone else noticed the JUMPING dollar sign ($) on the top left hand side of every comment/post. It is very annoying and distracting. How do I make it go away.

I have had to prove I am human when signed in . Happens sometimes when clicking on a new post. It is a minor annoyance I am happy to put up with if it helps preventing attacks on Websleuths.

last week I had to go through the verification constantly, including when already on WS. Middle of a post, I had to open a new window and do the verification again. Now that's stopped. I didn't have to do it today even when I logged on.

I'm also in the EU, but not Ireland, if that has any significance.

I'm glad you've had it sorted.

Presumably @Fraize , that means it's sortable for the rest of us that are still having to deal with it?

@Fraize - this is the 2nd person I've seen want the jiggling $ sign to stay still. I have someone in a DM asking about it too. Thank you. :)

I thought I was seeing things at first! I agree it is very distracting.

The first time it made me think my monitor was going on the fritz because all I saw was some jiggly movement, but not exactly what or where the movement was. Glad I don't need a new monitor!

I think it is annoying people so much that it is counter productive,it is putting them off considering making a donation. Unless of course that it the aim and people will have to pay to have it removed!!

I've just accessed via a bookmark and no one has stopped me at the gate and demanded to know if I'm human!

Many thanks if the issue has been resolved through action on Websleuths techie part. Much appreciated. 👍

Welcome to Websleuths, @leepfrog612!! Now is the time to tell you the doors only open one way. Once you're in you'll never get out. Why? Cuz you won't want to. :p
