On another note - is there an index somewhere of common acronyms used on this site? I keep seeing the same ones but don’t know what they mean!

I know there's a list somewhere as I've seen it before. But now that I want it I can't find it! Maybe @Cool Cats will have it handy.

Meanwhile, which acronyms are you wanting to know about?

I remember seeing it once and am looking for it. Please anyone can join in and search --- thanks Sleuthers!

And yes, which specific ones are on your mind?

Thank you for this!! One that I've been seeing is JMO. Didn't see it on the acronym thread either but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough!

JMO means Just My Opinion. You'll see variations of it like MOO (My Own Opinion). The reason for this is because WS (Websleuths) is fact based. If you're posting facts, you must include a link to your MSM or LE sources, etc. (Main Stream Media / Law Enforcement). Otherwise you'd need to let people know what you're stating is your opinion, and not fact.

Hi @Cool Cats

Hope you are well. I hope I am doing the right thing - can you please explain what the bookmarking means please - I do not want to offend anyone, I have bookmarked some comments on threads so I don't have to go back and find them or print them out so I can reference them .

Thankyou so much!

Websleuths has the WATCH feature and your online device will have the BOOKMARK feature.
When on the internet in general I bookmark topics of interest and things I need etc....
When on Websleuths I click the WATCH icon to watch threads I'm interested in. Come along with me and try it....

Just for an example click on this posted thread here....

Now scroll to the top right where you will see these 3 icons:
NEW POSTS - JUMP TO NEW - WATCH

Now click on WATCH and you will then be officially FOLLOWING this thread.
Now go to the very top of the page where it says WATCHED THREADS and when you click on it every single thread you follow will pop up.

Makes it SUPER CONVENIENT and I enjoy using it and have a large variety of threads bookmarked.

It is A-OK to do!

Hey I tried it and it simply bookmarked the individual post to my online device's normal bookmarks. Perfectly acceptable thing to do.

Sorry to barge in, i just wanted to say that I also bookmark individual posts by clicking the symbol near the post number. I find it super useful, and I find all my bookmarked posts by going to the top bar, clicking on my name which opens a small menu with two tabs, one for my account and one for bookmarks. I am not sure if you were able to find that already, I know it took me a bit to find them, so I thought I’d write it here in case it might help other users too.

Edited to add a screenshot of the steps, please excuse my photo editing skills 🙈
