You can search this site for Australia and UK. If someone knows of an easier way I'm all ears! I've been wanting an easy way to search for things in my state.

More detail on NYT from the TA who was leading the econ study session in the room where some of the shooting happened:

The article said that he left a trail of blood. It also stated the the hotel bed and shower were bloody, so I'm thinking maybe he was wearing dark clothes that hid the blood stains from the naked eye?

The blood in the hotel room could’ve also been his own from a suicide attempt.

The girl (pictured) was last seen on Nambour Mapleton Road and has not been seen since.
Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.
Officers believe she may be in the company of a woman who is living rough on the Sunshine Coast.
She is described as Caucasian, of average build, with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing her pyjamas which were a light blue top and bottom with dog pictures.
Police are appealing to the girl, or anyone with information that may assist in locating...

Yes, solved cases don't have their threads closed. They remain open. Have you tried searching several ways for your cases? Sometimes that helps if I don't have the name right or something.

Laurie Shaw was murdered in 1991 and solved pretty quickly. Websleuths has only been around for 25 years or so, so it doesn't surprise me there hasn't been a thread about it.

There are numerous mentions of Laurie throughout WS. Since her last name is so common (as is Buck), it's best if you put her name between double quotes "Laurie Show".
