Missing Opotiki man leaves no clues -

Police want help finding a 54-year-old Opotiki man missing without a trace for a week. Alan Grant Young, known as Grant, was last seen last weekend. On Tuesday, his car, a green and silver Toyota Carib registration YQ1688, was found on Maraenui Hill, State Highway 35, Opotiki, in the eastern Bay of Plenty. It had been parked on the side of the road facing north.

Whakatane land search and rescue (SAR) volunteers, the Trust Power Tech helicopter from Tauranga, and a police dog have all searched in vain.

Whakatane police say they would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of Young, "or has seen or spoken to him recently".

He was still missing in June of that year, but doesn't seem to be any further updates I can see.
