Also happy for her family that they won’t have to worry about the outcome over the weekend

now who exactly was this MFer who did this

I itch to ‘unsuppress’ his name but I won’t but when can we talk freely ?

  • #283
What is the sentence of first or second degree murder in this country? I'm guessing this will be second degree murder?

  • #284
I think the defendant was Vaguely McVague about this to the police, he obviously left out a lot o’details
Yeah, I wonder what he will have to say now.

"Am I going to prison for something I didn't do?"

What a dummy.

I can't wait to see what the British media dig up about him. They are ruthless.

I don’t think they have degrees of murder in NZ but not sure. A NZ poster earlier said sentencing may not occur for month or more?

Justice Moore thanked jurors for their time.

“You’ve thought very hard and been very careful and returned a verdict ... this has been a particularly difficult trial and, for that reason, I am going to discharge you from sitting on a jury for the next seven years,” Justice Moore said.

A number of the jury members were crying.

It's been so stressful for the jury. Grace's family must be so relieved.

Grace's parents, Gillian and David Millane wept after the verdict was read out at the High Court at Auckland.

Justice Simon Moore thanked the jury for their efforts in such a difficult trial.

The public gallery was almost full as the verdict was read out, as it has been every day of the trial.

Can't wait till you do. :D
I know I saw his name somewhere, but I really want to see his picture splashed everywhere so the whole world can see this vile creature.

  • #291
Will the jury get some kind of support as they had to listen to awful evidence?

  • #292
Whither the name suppression Justice Moore?

  • #293
Name suppression of accused still in place. Not much reaction from him after guilty verdict was read out. #GraceMillane #GraceMillaneVerdict

no degrees of murder. And yes sentencing may be a while. We should find out the date very soon. Not sure when suppression will be lifted? Possibly if he is facing another trial it may take some time? That’s the only reason I can think of why it might remain.

The media will be ready to go with all the deets about him as soon as they can go for it.

Will they have the chance to address the killer and read victim impact statements if they choose?

If you Google Grace Millane killer, he comes up on images. His name is there. At least in Canada.

I hope so, they'd have to focus on those pictures, an awful, awful task.

Yep I’m in the US and can find it easy too. With lots of UK news articles featuring him from last Dec, before they started following the suppression policy
