Justice Minister Andrew Little urges British media to ensure justice for Grace Millane

So this just in now. Our Justice Minister not happy with the breaking of supression from the UK. I was also just listening to an interview on Radio NZ with a professor of law on the name supression issues. There were no grounds for it being granted, and it wasn't, simply his lawyer appealed the decision and suppression has to be in place for 20 days to allow the appeal to be heard. Possibly however that the British media could be sabbotaging this investigation in printing details of the case that have been suppressed here. That's a lot riding on their shoulders!! Money in media headlines.

“At this point we don’t know where this item is.

“It could be anywhere between the Scenic Drive and central Auckland areas.

“Someone may have come across it, picked it up and taken it home. We need to speak to that person or anyone who has seen it.”

I can’t see the Daily Mail online complying unless NZ can take some kind of legal action in the U.K to force them to do so.

So how did he manage to get her into the car without being seen?

Wasn’t a suitcase discussed previously in regard to this? I don’t like to imagine it however.

Thanks for the reply zecats
I have just come to this case so I have missed some of the details - sorry if this has already been discussed.
So was it confirmed that there was a suitcase used? Is/was this item found?

I think the suitcase scenario was just *speculation* *an idea* suggested here. Theory being him leaving the hotel with a suitcase would not look odd to anyone since it is a hotel. However, for me, it conjured up the possibility of dismemberment, but LE and the press have negated that thank God. So, there has been NO mention whatsoever by LE or the press of a suitcase. It was all chatter here (and perhaps other sites and forums as well).

Foot fetish... castration anxiety and phallic woman fantasy?

Jerry Brudos and Dayton Rogers both had a foot fetish.

Maybe he didn't buy the shovel at all ... he could have stolen it from the maintenance cupboard at the hotel or from a road crew (there are always lots of roadworks going on in and around Auckland). Or maybe he "borrowed it" from an acquaintance (who may or may not be complicit in some way).

He doesn't look to have that big a build ... and I'm guessing Grace would have been 60-ish kilos? ... Did he have help afterwards?

He's not a clever chap ... what with leaving that comment on her FB account and telling at least two people different stories about how he earned his living. There are no doubt numerous other mistakes he made along the way.

I wondered at first if Grace's death was accidental (drugs), but I'm sure that would've been made clear from the outset had that been the case.

Yes you’re correct. I searched back and someone started discussing it here. The way the suitcase scenario was worded did sound like it was reported as such. Apologies for getting rumor back into the mix. LE has been fairly forthcoming so I assume they would ask the public with help in this too.

Ted Bundy too. Socks and feet. Though I believe he was obsessed with his own.

Radio host’s emotional plea

[...]

Radio station The Edge’s morning radio presenter Meg, of the Dom, Meg and Randell show, used her platform to send a powerful message.

“I have heard and seen too many comments asking the question what was she doing travelling by herself. Or whether she was on a Tinder date or not,” Meg said her during her emotional broadcast.

“I’ll say it again louder for the people in the back, this was not her fault.

“Nor was it her parents, who would’ve proudly dropped her off at the airport with a backpack on her back and a smile on her face.

“The question we should be asking is why did a man feel he had the right to take her life?”

As men feel entitled, women must be controlled - how they travel, how they dress, how they act. Mysogyny at its best.

BBM. And not all of it from men.
I find it strange that Kiwis are saying stuff like this. They are some of the most frequent travellers and back packers.
