Katrina Jefferies' body was found rolled down an Auckland bank "like a pile of rubbish".

That's the phrase Detective Inspector Uraia Vakaruru keeps using on Sunday's episode of Cold Case. It seems to signify the callousness of Jefferies' killer - they treated her like human trash.

Jefferies body was found partly rolled down a bank off Waikowhai Rd in the Auckland suburb of Hillsborough in the morning of Tuesday July 12, 2005. The site was often used by locals to dump rubbish; the dog walker who found her thought it was just more refuse, until he saw a hand poking from the red tarpaulin and black plastic bag she was wrapped in.

"A reward being offered for information on an Auckland cold case has sparked several people to come forward with new information.

Police have taken a significant number of calls and emails in relation to the murder of Katrina Jefferies in the past three weeks.

They're offering a $100,000 reward for vital information on the 14-year-old cold case.

A spokesperson says police are assessing all leads about the 22-year-old's death - but it will take some time."

Any idea as to why a large landscape painting was near the body?

Jefferies's body was found dumped in Hillsborough's Waikowhai Reserve in 2005. A large landscape painting and a piece of plywood were found near her body.

Although police have traced the items, they believe there are people who know more about these items and how they were used the weekend Jefferies was killed.

Wondering if red tarps are common there, all those vibrant colours and even a painting, could the perp be an artist?imo.

Katrina’s home to where her body was found.

Katrina’s body was wrapped and covered in a red tarpaulin, yellow raincoat and black rubbish bags. Police believe the young mother had been killed elsewhere and transported to the Reserve where she was thrown down a steep embankment off Waikowhai Rd - just one kilometre from her home.

Katrina was wrapped in this yellow raincoat.

Although, police have traced the red tarpaulin, yellow raincoat, black rubbish bags - and a large landscape print and piece of marine plywood, also found with Katrina’s body - to one address in the Mt Roskill area, they believe there are people who know more about these items and how they were used the weekend Katrina was killed.
