Newbie checking in to join the club. Do we get jerseys with numbers on them, too? Newbie #x on the back and a big WS logo on the front. ;)

Yeah, this case hits home for me in a few ways. I was raised a lot by my grandparents, no father's name on my bc, and never had contact with him or his family until I was well into my 30s. Selfish, narcissistic mother who was in and out my life. You get the picture. I've seen my grandparents defend, protect and be in denial about my mother's behavior enough to not fault George and Cindy the way some might. I adore my gp's but it took me years to get them to admit my mother *might* have a problem and they only took me seriously after she had told me several times she was going to kill herself and a younger half-sibling, because she thought he was "sick like her". I was the adult and she the child. It was an exhausting role. I married young, moved and stayed far away, and have only seen her twice in 17 years. I just had to get away to build my own life. I'm still super close w/ my gm. And my mother has never forgiven either one of us for bonding, or for me considering my gps my real parents.

ANYWAY, I only mention the above because as I said I see some similar dynamics from my own life as with the Anthonys and truly feel for everyone involved. It really hurts my heart to think of Caylee being gone forever. :(

WHOA! Thank you for sharing that. I can certainly see why this is hitting home. Welcome here. You will be a tremendously insightful poster, obviously. And yeah, we're working on the jersey thing....we plan to send them out just as soon as Casey finishes up that "letter" she's been promising her family...

oh and I LOVE your nicname....OMG....I say it all day long...my 16 year old is tired of me saying it, but..it just doggone applies in SO many situations...wouldn't you agree????:waitasec:

What a fantastic idea for a thread! This darling little missing girl with the big brown eyes has brought so many new members to join us at Websleuths! I welcome all of you with open arms. Please jump in and post, although I know it can be intimidating. Heck, sometimes I still feel intimidated. If somebody gives you a hard time, PM me and I'll :slap: em for you! ;)

Seriously, IF I can be of any help or assistance to any one of you, in any way, please do not hesitate to send me a PM or leave me a visitor message.
I'd be more than happy to try to help! :blowkiss:

:Welcome-12-june: to all newbies and long-time lurkers; and everyone that's been around awhile but come out of their shells for this case, too! :)

Thanks, Susie. Yes, it's an all purpose kind of phrase. I just wish Casey would say SOMETHING that was true and lead to Caylee. But then I'm a cockeyed optimist.

ok now I get the reason for the name...DUH. we use it just as a funny - but it totally relates to Casey and this case. um...could you like hit me over the head with a blunt object, please????? Anyway, very relevant and not at all funny in this case.

No, no, I say it in a funny way, too. Casey's just an afterthought. And I'd never get away with your blunt object request. Can you imagine the threads the senior sleuthers would come up with and how quickly they'd post pictures of what the object was and the research to back it up? ;)

Same here, and too afraid to post...lol

:seeya: just wanna welcome you and say........ya know what?.....if you feel like posting something......POST IT. As you can see....i've been around a few years.....i don't post much cause there's many, many peeps here that post my thoughts unknowingly. Don't worry about screwing up or nuttin like that............just post if ya wanna post.

Thanks for starting this thread Susie....one quick question i haven't seen anywhere, (its hard to keep up with so much to read...my real life intrudes).

Has Amy spoken to media? If her and Casey were inn fact going to be roomies, was she willing to have Caylee live with her also?...i read on a blog posted here that it would be "just us girls" statement from Casey.

Did Amy call Casey in jail? TIA for the info.

The Newbie club, I love it, Thanks SusieClue. I feel like changing my name to Annette, Where are those darn mouse ears (lol i really have some).
Now with that said let figure this mess out and bring Caylee home!

I'm with ya but that dang web is sooooo tangled!

Susie ...... can we lock this thread so no one over 500 posts can get in?

I don't think so, plus, why? They can read and post here too, JUST CAN'T MAKE FUN OF US FOR OUR NEWBIE-NESS! Many have posted very kind and welcoming comments!

That's a good question, one I was wondering myself. I heard somewhere, and I can't remember where, that Amy was going to press charges against Casey for stealing her money. Has anyone else heard this also? I think there seems to be more to the Amy and Casey story. Don't know really. But, I am anxious to see if Amy does press charges.

YES, very similar. Amazing. Too bad the Anthonys didn't wise up to Casey sooner and try to get full custody.

Exactly!

That's a guilt they'll live with for the rest of their lives. They hoped Casey would grow up eventually & never dreamed she could go SO low.

I disagree with people who say the Anthonys must be stupid....

I think they are SO brokenhearted & SO torn they can barely function.

They lost Caylee & THE Casey they thought they knew the night they called 911.

In my mind it's all unfortunately very simple......in spite of the impressive dialogue I've seen on the board here.

Casey obviously has some problems and it appears she was responible for Caylee's death. I believe LE has stayed extremely focused and has not allowed themselves to go off on the "wild tangents" that this board has been on.......even though it was in good faith.

As angry as this whole case made me in the beginning......at this point......my heart truly goes out to ALL that are involved in any way, shape or form.

I think that kind of goes against the reasons for making this thread. Let's be welcoming to EVERY poster. That's what us newbies want. To be accepted, without gripieness, ya know? So far all those who are NOT newbies that have visited our thread have had a lot of really encouraging things to say to us, and have been nothing be pleasant. Thanks!

I'm sorry ya'll.............i'm usually never this gripey.....guess it's frustration :blushing:

Oh my, I had no idea. carry on. Sorry.

JBEAN...Please don't stay away. I can only speak for myself, but I always appreciate the posts you leave. You are always very insightful and very nice to all of us newbies. Not to mention your great welcome! I don't think any of us NEWBIES want anyone to stay out of our thread.

I think there was a terrible confrontation between Cindy and Casey, and I feel it it have to do with Casey wanting to go party more than she wanted to be a mom to Caylee. I think everything that happened from that point on was to punish Cindy. I think that Casey is still punishing Cindy.

I think Cindy is punishing Casey.
