Please explain to me why Patsy Ramsey wrote the letter then? Helgoth or "Boots" invades her home and kills her child and yet she creates the bogus "ransom" letter? And that was because...?

The note was written by someone with grammer and spelling skills. .Even though there were a few misspellings,the majority of the notes contents were scribed by somone with an education.I doubt the Mr.Helgoth had much of either.

Good point. I would add that the result could come from having a fair degree of intelligence. The person might not have gone past high school or have been a good student, but was able to master the grammar and writing skills that were found.

It all comes down to the ransom note, my friends, the single piece of hard evidence.
There is some physical evidence to this crime, but none stronger than the "war and peace" of ransom notes.
Fibers, DNA, alibis, and rumor do not solve a case. PHYSICAL evidence does.
I won't even get into the stun gun theory, as it has been discussed here too many times.
The ransom note is the key and until that mystery is solved, we may never know the answer.
Too many side shows to solve this case. It is a defense attorney's dream.

Keenan is keeping this investigation under "wraps" as it should have been long ago,therefore ,little to NONE of the information that's been gathered on Helgoth has gotten any press. We have not seen his handwriting, we aren't certain the BPD checked his dna(as he had been cremated),we really know nothing!
I know many of you, soon after the murder ,joined into chatgroups,where the likes of Shapiro(as JBSavenger ,a few brave detectives, and others came and went in chat. Among the early chatters were those that claimed to know things, like (the killer had a cobra tattoo) the killer's name was JM, he was a twin, he was a vagrant, and on and on. No one looked into these things,they enjoyed their anonymity,which may have been a big loss for LE. I remember one in particular,Brian,who said, " I didn't kill her but seemed to know who did,the last time he chatted he was fleeing Boulder for Shrevesport", (not connected at all to the Shrevesport pageant letter), Le didn't find any of this interesting enough to follow up . Their only internet interest at that time was a "chore kind of job" that was suggested by Singular,as he had found images of little girls bound and tied much like Jonbenet on internet sites,and after having brought it to their attention they agreed to look into it. They missed a lot,by not following the ip's that originated in the Boulder area,and follow their chat. IMO

I read the only fingerprints that were on the note were Patsy's, and it seems I read there were many. So if this is the case, together with the fact her handwriting is so similiar to the writing, isn't this enough to get a warrant and arrest her for her daughters murder? Why havn't they done this? Crazy after all these years!

I don't recall her fingerprints being on the note? I do remember they were found on her writing pad along with others,but on the note,no!
Please remember,there were several pieces of paper removed from that pad,the ink could not be identified as different from any other sharpie on the market,this is important when believing Patsy wrote it,"her pen,her pad" is not a FACT.

All of the 5 fingerprints found on the notepad that didn't belong to police officers belonged to Patsy Ramsey.

sissi, we know the notepad was Patsy's. Why do you consider it such a leap to think that the Sharpie used to write the note was hers as well, considering that her pens were RIGHT THERE by the note pad?
