Another presser at 6:00 p.m.

Asking for any tips of when she was seen on Tuesday and Wednesday. Trying to piece together a timeline and piece the puzzle together. FBI is bringing in resources as far as from Virginia. CARD team has been called in and activated.

Ed Wagner is the chief of police - very important case to the police right now. He is addressing Abby directly. Want her safe return.

Last seen in a striped sweater with yellow flecks. The original description was wrong. They keep saying it is a missing person case and that's all it is (I personally do not believe that, but whatever).

They also said that they will be searching for "the next couple of days." Take from that what you will.

  • #66
I wish they asked if Abigail left with anything.

Family has been completely cooperative.

Someone asked if there was a POI. That question was not answered. They are only looking for Abby not interested in speaking to one anyone in particular.

Anndd...they cut the feed. Bah!

I must say, the police are right on top of this, which is pretty surprising for a missing teenager.

I suspect they know a lot more than they are sharing and when the FBI is called in this soon, concerning. North Country Serial Killer strikes again? Never caught Celina Cass's killer either. We don't know for sure, if foul play involved. Pray not but does not look good!!

Conway Police Chief Edward Wagner says police are treating it as a missing person’s case. He won’t discuss specific evidence but says there’s nothing suspicious so far.

The FBI announced during a noon news conference on Friday that agents from as far away as Virginia, including a child abduction response team, are heading to New Hampshire to help.

About 15 New Hampshire Fish & Game officers are involved and are using a boat to search a nearby pond.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children also has distributed information about Abigail. Officials also released a surveillance photo of Hernandez at school the day of her disappearance, in hopes someone would recognize her clothing. The FBI is asking anyone with tips to call them.

I notice that "kidnap" is in this URL. Just an observation.

You know how on your computer you designate your files to go under a certain folder to keep them organized based on a common theme of the files....I'm thinking it's the same way with URL's or am I reading too much into that?
.

I wouldn't read too much into that (outside of the fact that the FBI was called in almost immediately). If you click on the link and look in the navigation banners, it is filed under "Kidnappings & Missing Persons" in the FBI site directory, which is probably just shortened to "kidnap" for the purposes of organizing the URLs. I don't think that means that the FBI thinks she was kidnapped specifically, but rather kidnappings and missing persons are filed together on their site.

The FBI released a missing-person poster of Abigail Hernandez late Friday morning. It includes a surveillance image of Abigail taken at Kennett High School on Wednesday.

"We are here for one reason, to do whatever we can to find Abby," said Associate Attorney General Jane Young. "We are working closely with the locals, the state police and the federal government."

Young said searches will be conducted from the air, in the waterways and on the ground.

"Tomorrow is her 15th birthday," Young said. "It would be nice to have her home."

The FBI said it has activated its 1-800-CALL-FBI tip line for people to report any information on Abigail. Tips can also be reported online at www.tips.fbi.gov.

Young said investigators are trying to put together a complete timeline of the events leading up to the girl's disappearance, so she said anyone who saw her on Tuesday or Wednesday should call police.

"Any information, no matter how small it is," Young said.

Good point, I hadn't noticed that.

has LE pinged her phone???

It would seem so based on this earlier article.

Abigail Hernandez, 14, was reported missing by her mother, she has not been seen since leaving school on Wednesday.

Police deployed search dogs at her last known location at Kennett High School. The dogs followed her scent back to Abigail's home at 86 Village Way, leading police to believe that she returned there before she disappeared.

Police searched the home and surrounding area, interviewed witnesses, ran phone traces and submitted Abigail's name as a missing person to the National Crime Information Center.
