Thanks for that last map, we always go into town on that Eastman Rd. Had no idea that the school was so far up that hill. No one has mentioned if she took bus to school that morning, or if she usually walked home. My observation only, have never seen anyone walking on that sidewalk on North/south rd ever.

Wow, so yesterday, that post is odd and strange.

You CAN direct posters, in this case, to interesting comment by LA at police FB. You cannot discuss that here, comments from MSM, FB, etc. are considered rumor and are not allowed.

Happy birthday, Abby. May today be the day you come home.

WOW!!! I know the area pretty well, that is quite the hike, didn't realize how far her walk home was. Are they absolutely positive she made it home? I know about the dogs tracking but....

So much stuff we don't know. Today- I am thinking that the first strange thing is that she walked home at all, wonder if she ever did it before. It is a long way.

  • #167
It seems a lot longer than 45 minutes( that I read somewhere)

Yes, I would think so too, but someone measured the distance and guesstimated time . We won't be driving over there this weekend, but Can anyone do a close up map of that no/so rd, and check to see if her townhouse address is up on top of a steep incline...with a tall chain link fence up there? There is an exit to go into the settlers green shopping center. But the next available left turn is a ways up - past her address .One reason for the chain link is to keep deer/moose off the road ....and whatever.

Pssstttt... I wanna see a moose!

Young said Hernandez went to school Wednesday and there were “some indications” she went home afterward. Investigators, who are searching from the air, on land, and on water are focusing on the path she took home, Young said. - See more at: http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/201...YNdJQHLYGU21N/story.html#sthash.RPbJ4it8.dpuf

This video says LE told family and friends to NOT talk to media!!! WHY???

After rereading this Boston Globe article the quote marks on "some indications" is rather jarring. The mom not allowed to speak - just different and odd.

Strange - but still sad. Somewhere yesterday they said kids are not assigned/counted getting on buses, might that mean that you can chose to ride or not? Enrolled kids at the high school, approx 900 plus, hmmmm. The longest part of woods she may have cut thru May have been getting off school property. Know I have seen "path" mentioned before.

The fact that they upgraded Abby's missing person to "abducted"...LE must have some sort of evidence to substantiate that she is not one to runaway.
.

Abby's status is "missing" on every link i'm reading this morning. did I miss something regarding status changing to abducted. where did you see/read this?

edit: I see a link up thread to a lost missing organization. is that group considered msm?

Things must be different up there than it is here in Virginia because we live in a rural country part of the county with a school about the same distance and I would never dream of letting my 14 year old daughter walk to and from school. Even though my daughter is 37 now I wouldn't even allow my grandSONS to walk that far if they were old enough. Times now are not what they were when I was 14. There wasn't as much crime. No matter how mentally mature Abby is, she's still a kid and very slim. She would be no match for an adult! Praying she is alive and today is the day she comes home. Praying her family will be able to celebrate her birthday instead of mourning her death.

Question....what are the options considering she's disappeared?
1. She left on her own.
2. Abduction

Am I missing something? No evidence she was planning on leaving, no friends saying she's leaving. Family and friends told NOT to talk to media.

Oh, last link I posted, comments under the article

Eagles Way on that map ...would be from the high school down to Eastman Rd, there is a stop light there, cross Eastman Rd...and it becomes the No/So Rd. Big blue square at the corner there is a big walmart
