Just caught up, I have a bad feeling about this. I haven't read anywhere, but are mum and dad still together?

Here is a link to Celina Cass' thread. Her case has never been solved. She was found murdered and her body found in a river.

Found Deceased NH - Celina Cass, 11, Stewartstown, 25 July 2011 - #1 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

These 2 girls favor each other a lot and Celina looks much older than 11. I think she would easily pass for a 13 or 14 yr old. ( if they are connected and if the perp thought they were similar age,, lot of ifs I know )

Thanks so much for sharing this.

There's a manhunt on for him. Wonder if they think he's involved?

Do you know if that escaped SO has victims in this approximate age group ? tia

I'm a bit confused......they haven't given enough information or I have missed it.

So she was seen at school, has a 44 minute walk home and has vanished, so could have been abducted along the route....

However the dogs have got a scent back to the house, so they assume she went home.

If that is the case we need more info about her home.....she has a mum, dad and sister I gather....are mum and dad together and living in the house? is there a stepdad or mums boyfriend or anything in the house?
And lastly I gather no one was at home to confirm that she made it to the house?

Have they checked if any clothes or any thing else she owns is missing?

I gather because they haven't really focused on her homelife they aren't putting too much into the scent picked up by the dogs.

You who follow so many more cases than me may laugh, but if she walks that route every day to and from home , could the dogs have tracked her trail from the day before? Or caught her scent in the home because she was just there a few hours prior before school started?

Everything I've read so far says she lives with her Mother. Maybe Mom worked a shift like 7-7 so didn't know she was missing until then. Not sure. IMO, they found something at the home that indicated abduction.

I think her mom may be a nurse, possibly working 40 or so minutes away from home, so your shift suggestion could be right.

This case is so odd with the mixed messages :(

The live update from WMUR says there are a lot of people out searching

I have read somewhere can't remember where now? That she arrived home, as certain items have been located at home which she took to school. Has anybody else read this? I will search my history to see where I saw this.

I was really praying and hoping that when I logged in today there would be happy developments.

Happy 15th Birthday Abby! I am going to light a candle for you, but am skipping the cake (dieting-blah) but promise to break my diet and eat a piece or the whole thing if you come home safe today!

I followed Celina Cass and I almost think that LE was more open and forth coming with info than they have been here so far. I do not think Celina is connected to this case but without a perp in her murder-who knows, it is possible. Celina didnt look much older than her age, 11. IMO.

I am hopeful and thankful that they were on this so quickly & have lots of questions. Hoping the presser will give us anything new to go on. I am worrying nervously for Abby. I get that ominous feeling as well, but I try to stay open minded until it is painfully obvious that something sinister happened.

Jessica Herringa is a case where the Secret Service came in and assisted. It did little good and she is still missing with no perp in view.

The SS has been involved in other cases too, I think maybe Kyron's was one. Their details online do include missing children cases.
Not sure, but I think part of their expertise is in computer forensics. Hoping they are doing that. Wondering if she met up with someone online who talked her into spending her birthday with him/her?

Abigail may have used her walk home to actually train for track and run home. When I was growing up...long long ago... =)we walked home from school. But Abby lived 2.2 miles from school which I think is unusual for kids these days to want to walk that far.

This was all I could find and it was dated yesterday:

Young said Hernandez went to school Wednesday and there were “some indications” she went home afterward. Investigators, who are searching from the air, on land, and on water are focusing on the path she took home, Young said.

Sounds to me like it was more than just relying on the dog. We don't know what time her Mom got home, just that she reported her missing at 7:15 so Mom knew something was very out of the ordinary.

I also wonder if there was something perhaps that indicated a struggle may have happened (furniture skewed) as an example which could fall into "some indications" to know she went home after school or her backpack, purse, was there etc.

Sounds like they are not sure if she made it home to focus on the path home from the school though. They dont' know :(

Just caught up on the thread, I don't have much to add apart from I'm confused and this seems odd. I hope it's nothing more sinister than a runaway who will be back home safe soon, my gut tells me otherwise :( I have a very dodgy gut tho ;) Happy Birthday Abby wherever you are <3 Be safe

I am grasping with this too, and wonder why the Attorney General would use the words "some indications" she went home? What would fit, yet still back-track on the path home? Could it be they are looking on the path home for signs of a struggle or a missing item? IDK this case is sure baffling.

Please look at the LostnMissing poster which says "violent crime". Is this new?

http://lostnmissing.org/missing/abigail-hernandez-oct-09-2013-conway-nh/

Abby's status is "missing" on every link i'm reading this morning. did I miss something regarding status changing to abducted. where did you see/read this?

edit: I see a link up thread to a lost missing organization. is that group considered msm?

No, that is not considered MSM or LE.
It is simply a missing person's organization that makes mistakes like everyone else.
I would not consider it reliable all by itself, without law enforcement or media stating the same thing. :twocents:

Did I dream this or wasn't it said that they thought she went home then went back towards the school where the power lines are? Tell me I didn't make this up! :okay:

You didn't dream it. I remember reading the same thing! How they know this, I'm not sure, but it was definitely reported.
