This is very interesting wording.
A change in Abby?
Hmmmmm...

I do wonder if it's possible she willingly got in a car with someone and met with foul play. I does seem to me that they do have information they're not releasing to the public as they have indications that she made it home after school. A bike, back pack or something

If neighbors work during the day, and a car came to the house, nobody would see it. This happened outside of my town a few years ago when Jeni Lyn Watson disappeared. No one saw anything. Her body was found a week or two (maybe longer) later, killed by her ex-boyfriend.

I find it odd that no one mentioned her riding a bike home from school as 2.2 miles is a long hike back and forth to school.

You beat me to it Jillian, but as soon as I read that I too thought hhmmmmm

There definitely is information that we are not getting.

I am wondering if it is something to do with the internet and she has met someone online....

if it was believed that she ran away, would the FBI, secret service and all the other agencies be called in? or is that the way NH works? if so, way to go NH. wish this was done for all missing person's cases. there's a low-functioning autistic boy in NYC who's been missing over a week, and he has no such luck. :(

I found this interesting too. I doubt she ran off with anyone- she seemed pretty close to her BF and to his family- though just based on social media, it doesn't seem that she was overly close to her own family (at least not online, anyway. I realize FB is no indication of how close one is to family).

If she ran off with someone, I think LE would have found evidence of something- anything- on her computer. I don't think a 14 y/o girl would be savvy enough to eliminate all traces of online activity, to the point the Secret Service couldn't even find it.

That leads me to wonder if she may have been going through something privately that no one else was aware of. Depression, perhaps- something that could make her "change", but that her friends and family may be unable to pin-point, exactly. That's a scary thought as well.

Sorry to post back-to-back, but I also question whether all these agencies would get involved if they thought she just ran away. Looking at news articles, if you read the comments, it seems even many locals find this outside of the norm.

It seems at best, LE is considering all possibilities- from foul play to voluntary disappearance, which might explain the additional resources being called in. At worst, they suspect foul play and for whatever reason just don't want to say it out loud just yet.

I'm sure the more time goes by with no leads, the less they believe she just walked away.

It wasn't bad, but mine did cut out at the end, came back and Mum was talking. All I got from the pressor was we have no news, we know nothing more, we dont know anything, we have no clues..... And it is still a 'missing' case.

Did hear that a hiker had died nearby and they found bone fragments from a missing person unrelated to Abby. Mum appealed for anyone who had noticed a change in Abby to come forward, anyone who knew anything to come forward.

GO figure Skibaboo's in UK and the feed is fine, but here none of us can see it. What does it even mean ?

As we were driving back home, we saw no tv station vehicles along side No/So Rd. ...they were all back in the parking lot of the police station, big lights on, the only truck I could read said necn, was that the one with the bad sound. Haft to go back here and listen.

The people at the next table to us were from Mass, they were talking about mad die mc cann, said they wouldn't take their eyes off a 16 yr old, much less a 3 yr. old baby.

I wouldn't think she biked to school, no bike paths along that eagles way school road. Could just imagine a stream of busses zooming by, there was no sidewalk going up that not so steep hill either.

They have searched a 4 square mile area of wilderness 'arm to arm' and an 8 mile area of sako? river

It always breaks my heart to hear of these kind of searches so close to someone being missing, and particularly in this case as she only went missing on Wed. because it shows they are not looking for a "live" 15 year old girl. I know it has to be done & I am glad it is, but it also appears with all the incredible resources that are being deployed it seems they do know more then they are releasing to the public.

Just wanted to jump in here to this site , as I live in Center Conway.

A few things...

I passed through that intersection from the north on Wed as the busses were coming out of the school. I headed east towards the path that is the shortcut for walking students. I didnt see anybody. And this is where my brain is to be blamed. I pass through that intersection many times during the week. At one point this week there was a DOT truck parked on the right side of Eastman Rd. so that I had to scoot over to the left. (annoying) I cant remember if this happened Wed afternoon or not. My point being that that DOT crew would have had a perfect view of where the path opens to the street . I called the FBI and let them know.

Also I was hung up in the roadblock on Friday. The FBI agent asked if I was local, if I had heard or seen anything, etc. The interesting question he asked was . " Do you have children ? " . I answered yes , but found the question out of place , sort of. Disclaimer: i am a 40-year old white male driving a windowless unmarked white van . They took my name and plate number and sent me on my way.

I am glad to be able to post here , and any other questions about Conway I'd be happy to answer.

Hi Dana, welcome.
Do you think she walked to her home on the N/so. Rd, or did a cut thru behind Settlers Green?

Welcome, Danak!

Is there any insight you can share, from a local's perspective? From what I've read (from our other local member, comments on articles, various FB posts), I get the impression locals are as baffled by Abby's disappearance as the rest of us, but was curious as to whether or not you're hearing any particular theme over another about what could have happened.

Anybody notice the lostnmissing poster shared upthread mentions the Mass state police are assisting? Makes me think they have a lead taking them to Mass.

Also, I know some have questioned if mom and dad were separated, from what I've seen I believe they are.

Wonder what the connection to Massachusetts is?
