Was up to Cranmore this morning. The cell tower is indeed right on the summit next to the lodge. It would be an open shot from the tower to her home or pretty much in any direction in town . All cell service gets very sketchy as you round the corner from Eagles Way going through Redstone toward Center Conway, cell service picks up again right around the police station. Due to the mountains in Redstone hiding the signal from Cranmore I guess.

EDIT: Even at my house in C. Conway cell service can be sketchy. I would be blocked by the Redstone hills here too .

I saw posters at the Cranmore gym, and they really are at every business I've been in over the weekend. I did not see any search or F&G , but after catching a glance of the map they showed last night there are a huge amount of woods in a triangle shape that is wide at Cranmore and narrows back to Walmart, that I am sure they are in . Lots of dog walkers (they see everything) in the area and many people walking around town. It is a very pedestrian and bicycle friendly town , lots of designated lanes etc. The police parking lot was full. A few news trucks lots of LE vehicles, and some regular cars. The courthouse is next to the PD station and they share a parking lot , but I doubt there is court today.

It is a very clear , warm and beautiful day, the weekend was grey and damp. Hopefully it makes it easier on the LE searchers .

That call is mentioned in this article, right around the photo break. "The last phone call was 4 hours after her disappearance...," or something to that effect. Doesn't give details as to whom the call was made.

I wonder what she was doing over there, and if LE knows why. If she was alone I can't help but think abduction from a by passer. But I don't think she was alone. I know LE is bundled up for good reasons but I can't help but want some new info.

Dana is the tower on cranmore the only tower in the area? I'm wondering if her phone would route through that tower even if she was was home?

Was she really over near Cranmore or was it just that her cell phone pinged off of that tower? There is so little information out there! It's been said that cell service is spotty in Conway. Would her phone have pinged off of the Cranmore tower if her phone was used at her home? At Pudding Pond? In the middle of the woods?! We haven't heard that the signal was triangulated. Shoot, we haven't heard ANYTHING!!!

We hardly know enough to suppose what has happened.

Was Abigail depressed or upset about something, like her grades, her relationships, her future plans?

If the phone was indeed used the evening of her disappearance, do they know if she made a call or was it a stranger making the call? Surely they know if the call was made to someone in her contacts.

She had a boyfriend. Were there issues? Had they recently fought or broke up?

If she contacted people outside of her school friends, her computer would yield a plethora of info there. We have no way of knowing....but I'm sure LE has checked out all of this.

To me, at this point, it sounds like an abduction. If there were lots of tourists in the area, then this seems the most likely possibility. It would be a crime of opportunity....totally random, making it more difficult to track.

Does this mean another news conference today? The article was updated today.

The next update from law enforcement will be at 6pm tonight unless there are developments in the case. WMUR-TV and wmur.com will carry the press conference live.

I dont know. They have canoed Pudding Pond. The water reservoir behind WalMart the NHSP were parked at for at least 3 days. I have been working up at Whitaker Lane next to Cranmore and have driven by their many times and have not seen activity around the Snow making ponds .

There is no way that Jane Young has not checked though, as this would be her third young female to be found in water . With Krista Dittmeyer being found only yards away from her idling car what 4? 5? days later . And Celina being a mile or so away from her house 4? 5? days again ? :banghead:

The FBI's Rapid Child Abduction Deployment Unit is orchestrating the search efforts, which have been conducted by air, on the ground, and in the nearby Sacco River by police from multiple law enforcement agencies.

The last time the cellphone belonging to missing New Hampshire teenager Abigail Hernandez was used was on the day she disappeared and it was about two miles from her home, investigators said today.

The call was tracked to a spot near Cranmore Mountain, a ski resort near the missing girl's Village Way home, said Major Kevin Jordan of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. It was the last call made from the girl's cell phone, he said.
