The FBI's Rapid Child Abduction Deployment Unit is orchestrating the search efforts, which have been conducted by air, on the ground, and in the nearby Sacco River by police from multiple law enforcement agencies.

Finally, a little information. Maybe a lot of negative feedback from the public caused them to share some info as it doesn't seem they are making much headway on their own.

This "older boy" could be anyone of any age.

I notice it says cell phone used "near" Cranmore mountain. There is a god forsaken gorgeous mountain pass road near Cranmore called Hurricane Mountain. Gate at the bottom. It closes soon, unplowed etc. 2 cars can barely pass each other...it is so narrow. Deep ravines, wild treacherous, can not even imagine searching there. Oh my.....

Trying to make sense of this.

Last phone usage was at 6:30pm 2 miles from her house at the ski resort.

Scenarios:
Maybe they had arranged to meet secretly for the first time, and since he was "older" she didn't share with mom? He lured her to the ski resort with the ruse that they shouldn't be seen together. The phone call...someone tried to contact her but her phone had already been turned off. How could they have set up the meeting without some record on either the computer or phone? Is there a record of texts even when they are deleted right away?
