OT just noticed at least three new cases of girls 14-16 who vanished and were suspected to be with an older male, some met from internet. LE released name of make at once in all cases, as in the past. I just do not see any reason for LE to withhold a name and description in Abigail's case, if they had an idea she was being held, or had gone with, a male. Makes me think they have no idea whatsoever. Jmo

One of our local stations here in northern Vermont ran a short segment about Abby, announcing the 6-month mark of her disappearance. They also read Zenya's latest letter that's posted on the Bring Abby Home website. I'm glad to see that the news continues to remind people about Abby.

Here's the link:

"We hope, as we hope every day, that today will be the day when we see Abby."

IMO Nothing short of joy and celebration when Abby is reunited with her family is acceptable. I have witnessed sad outcomes in 3 cases that I am following, with Holly, Teleka and Danielle, the heartbreaking news that their loved one is not returning is something no parent should have to bear.
6 months ago I was not sure that I should even try, but with Abby my eyes were opened to what a disastrous epidemic we are experiencing with so many missing and unaccounted for young people.
When I look at her bright smile and her happy face I know that I have no choice but to continue to share and help to keep her face out there. It won't take a miracle, just that one pair of eyes seeing her and remembering or saying something.
HOPE and prayers to Zenya and her family and friends today.

6 months...where are you Abby? I can't believe it's been 6 months, on one hand it seems like yesterday and on another it feels like forever. Abby, I don't even live in the same country as you, but you have made a lasting impression on me. You have to be found, you need to be home, we will never give up on you, ever!

:rose: Stay strong Abby, and ZH, SH, AS, PK and everyone else, never give up. #Bringabbyhome

I found this image on a pinterest page
https://s-media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/avatars/happygail-1372731707_140.jpg

and it looks a bit like the one at
http://www.everyjoe.com/2013/10/10/...-photos-missing-north-conway-new-hampshire/#9

I also found a twitter pic that had some resemblance but parted hair on the other side and had slightly more rounded face.

Not sure this helps any yet but I am just doing some basic web searches.

Thanks for searching the web for Abby, Doc! What a needle in a haystack of needles, right? I don't see a resemblance between the pinterest photo and Abby (eyes are different shapes, Abby's lips aren't as full and she was not wearing braces when she disappeared). What does everyone else think?

I don't see a resemblance either.

Oops, good catch on the braces. I totally missed those. Been fighting a germ and taking antibiotics to kick it but my eyes are still watering quite a bit so it is hampering my web search.

I also found this one but I think it looks even less like her. Both were using the same name as our missing person though - lol

I think its a great idea to do online searches for girls that could be Abby and it made me think back to the man who thought he saw AH in an online ad. That girl did resemble AH except the hair was parted on the wrong side and her face was thinner. I even wondered if the photo was taken using a mirror. When I flipped it over (putting the part on the right side) it did look very similar to AH. The eyebrows and shape of the eyes were similar but the face was longer and thinner. Keep on looking Doc. One clue. They need one good clue. 6 months without seeing your child has to be hell. Prayers to ZH, SH, PK, AS, and every single person searching for her. Keep sharing and looking everyone. Never give up!!!

Also off topic When I read the Dateline link posted earlier in the comment section there was mention of a missing girl named Molly Miller. I read up on that last night and that is a strange case.

Thinking of Abby and her family a lot today on the 6 month anniversary and praying that if she's being held captive that her abductor will show some compassion and send her home.

I just discovered something new with facebook. Under search you can search pictures Abby posted. I did this and was able to see the photos Abby posted. You can even search for different years. Her last photo post was in 2013. This might be way off base but I wonder if LE is aware of this feature? Also you can search to see photos she liked and commented on as well. You can also see who liked her photos and how many times a person liked her photos. Even though these are kids on that site that doesn't mean that they are not capable of an abduction imo. Maybe whoever has Abby had a serious crush on her is what I am trying to say but had no real contact via texting or phone calls. This could very well explain why her cell and computer did not reveal anything that we know of out of the ordinary. I feel strongly that this abduction is linked to social media. I said I wouldn't post again but felt this is something that should be shared. When my boys get a lot of likes by the same person they refer to the girl liking their stuff all the time as a FB stalker.

Just running some errands and, as I walked out of my local Walmart (central New Jersey), I looked at the NCMEC posters. There was Abby smiling. Apparently it was just put up at the beginning of April.

Where are you Abby? Find your way home soon.

Jmo, but I am down to basically two theories...either she is gone and staying away by choice, or is not alive. I don't have much faith in the "someone is holding her" theory. I know it has happened...but Imo, we are aware of those names and cases because they are so rare.

Anyway...jmo

I don't think she is staying away by choice at all. Everything that we have read about this case indicates there were no problems at home, she had a boyfriend, she was looking forward to her birthday and had plans. If she was staying away by choice she would have contacted someone by now it seems so I honestly don't feel this is the case. I strongly feel it was someone on social media that LE is missing. I feel it may have been someone crushing on her but never had contact via text or email or phone. I think LE needs to look at this very closely imo. I pray that she is still alive as well and pray they find her.

I agree, Clu. It's, statistically, a pretty far fetched theory. When I float the idea in my head of Abby being held by someone, the vision I have is more of a "drugged-up, being prostituted, no way out" kind of scenario than an "in an underground bunker in the woods" scenario. It's possible but not likely.

In any case, if she's still alive, I can't see Abby choosing to stay away this long on her own volition. Whenever I state, "Find your way home, Abby" my thoughts include the distinct possibility she has passed. No matter what has happened, I pray there is a resolution very soon.

I just happened to stumble on it but feel it could be helpful imo to LE.

From past cases I know that runaways can and have often stayed away this long and longer. I do not know if this is a case of runaway or not but have seen nothing yet to indicate that it is anything other than a runaway.

However, there have been a few cases where it was a little of both. I remember one case where a girl left with a school security guard and then he became controlling and kept her inside his home all the time and it was a long long time (years) before she finally was allowed out and turned herself in as a runaway/missing person.

Perhaps she did run away but now is stuck in a controlling relationship.

But she could also just still be a runaway who has not decided to go home.

I don't feel it is a runaway situation at all. I do not feel the FBI or the LE would have been so involved right from the get go if it was just a runaway imo. Abby is a girl who likes the social media and seems like she has many friends and people that love her, does not seem to be the type to runaway. I find it very hard to believe that she ran away because what teen goes without their cell phone and what teen goes without contacting one of their friends? Why is the FBI still involved, if she was just a runaway I feel they would have been long gone. Regardless if she did runaway which I doubt she did she needs to be found and return home to her family.
