The best thing for anybody to do is to share that sketch and the description, the only productive thing, really. We can question the wording of the statement until the cows come home but it is clear this child has been through Hell and Back.

The sketch and description is what they have to go on, so please, share and share as widely as possible.

Per LE and other links: Mid to late 40's in a blue pick up trick on the afternoon of October 9th.

She was obviously eating while she was gone because she's not dead. That doesn't mean she didn't get sick right before her return or right after her return. LE doesn't know a kid's size and shape the way a parent would. She wasn't emaciated. She was walking and likely talking. That could be all they mean by good health.

In fact, if she recently became ill, that could account for why she was released.

Investigators say about 20 new leads have come in since Abby returned home Sunday night but otherwise remain quiet concerning what they know about Abby’s whereabouts and puzzling re-emergence.

WBZ-TV showed the sketch to several people familiar with the area in question and most said it’s just too vague.

Investigators say the man was driving a navy blue pickup truck near a rotary on North South Road in Conway N.H.

It was the middle of the afternoon, and investigators said they’re hoping someone remembers something even nine months later.

So far, Abby’s family isn’t revealing much, but in a text message to WBZ TV Friday, Abby’s mom, Zenya, wrote: “I am just trying to live in the moment of her being here. Abby does, too. Happy to be here, alive and happy that God answered our prayers.”

So, if LE has not been able to identify the person with whom she has been, there is not an electronic footprint (eta or at least one that leads to anybody)
Which means, a trac phone was used, or Abby possibly encountered this person in person.

I can not remember---did Abby apply for any jobs recently, and also, has it been determined if she posted on any modeling / talent sites? tia

Thinking about her involvement in track and field more as well.

And didn't she attend the Fryeburg Fair a week or two before she vanished?

Don't shoot me for saying this (others have mentioned this as well upstream), but reading between the lines of the recent statements in the latest Boston Globe article, I'm not so sure if LE believes the accounts they have been given...

?

Look, I simply got completely opposite impressions from LE and from the family, and I do not think I am alone. Any person who is described as having lost a lot of weight, being very weak, thin, tired, and just now eating solid foods, sure as sheet did not look to be in "good condition" just five days ago.

I think she had worked PT as a maid? Am I recalling that correctly? Unknown if in a home or a local motel.

They have only stated this Sketch "drove her away"- not even a statement that Sketch had anything to with anything illegal atm- he could have simply gave her a ride.

Eta: plenty of people I see working the carnivals are minors.

Ok, so say hypothetically she applied for a job as a maid somewhere (I recall a case where a woman answered an ad on craigslist for a maid's position and was killed by that employer)---there's no electronic footprint of this---could she have seen a posting somewhere, say on a sign or in a newspaper, and gone directly to that address to apply without calling? Maybe this is the store she was going to, as stated by the bf in the Daily mail article (post 318).

We do not need even know if this guy is a suspect, or just some person they want to talk to. We have no idea. In fact, generally in cases like this, LE specifically calls the guy in the sketch a "suspect".

I have an icky feeling about that sketch.

The entire situation is beyond strange. The fact that she's home and not in the hospital is strange to me.
I just hope whatever this child has been through, she comes out the other side healthy mentally and physically.

GOETTSCH, MICHAEL WAYLON - FAILURE TO APPEAR - NO BAIL SET

http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/2013/10/16/3775776/wednesday-oct-16-23-photos.html

View attachment 55623No. All of that information has been bandied about on another forum which is not well moderated and where children and other victims are outted and publically flogged for the sake of gossip. I am not a member there. This man has publically chastised LE and the victims on FB, in comments and on his own site until he was shut down.

A comment was made about Daily Mail as being a UK rag - I think that was kind. For instance - not like they ever stretch the facts but consider their quote "they knew she spent everyday round at our house, so they had to rule us out" "ROUND AT OUR HOUSE"? Did she bring her 'brolly' or help you re-tyre the truck? No one talks like that from New Hampshire so what other information was refigured to suit their readership?

Please. A member mentioned that this is Websleuths. Exactly! <modsnip>

For instance has anyone ever seen this guy?

He went by the name Waylon on FB. His description and his name matched the sightings in both Errol and St Albans. The person up there spotted with someone who looked like Abby was with an older woman and a younger girl. In the Errol sighting, RM described the male as similar with a scruffy beard and a female with a younger girl.

So looking at this picture, we see the ears folding downward at the top, we see the stubble, we see a somewhat 'darkish' complexion, we see the rounded face, the longish bridge and the droopy eyes - but we see something else! We see blue eyes. Abby said his eyes were dark brown. OK so being drugged, stressed and held against her will she could get a detail wrong after 9 months. But there is something else.
~ We read today that the sketch person is someone in his mid to late 40s. https://www.facebook.com/bringabbyhome "Updated info. Age on male is mid to late 40s."
This guy's mug shot puts him at abt 33 YO.

I think we can skip it.

But THIS is SLEUTHING!

If, theoretically, she had been living in a closed commune somewhere, this all starts to make some sense. Here's my theory:
She meets someone from such a group at the Fryeburg Fair and gets to talking.
Somehow, she ends with them the night she went missing, either planned with her or without her.
She writes the snail mail letter to her mom because they allow her to do so.
She lives in the community for a while but gets sick from the raw milk, honey or something contaminated with bacteria from animal waste.
They give her back her street clothing, which, since she would have worn the modest clothing the group wears during her time there, looks as new as the day she disappeared.
They drop her off.

(coincidentally, he reminds me of Sidney Moorer, also out of Myrtle Beach. The eyes...)

Sorry, what is the significance of this person in the photo, Jacie? tia
eta: nevermind.

He looks nothing like the sketch IMO.

The dip in the center of the top lip is similar, that's about it, jmo

Not a bad looking guy, imo.

:bump:
Please don't tell others how or what to post, that is against TOS. If you feel a post is against our terms then please alert and let the Mods check it out and take care of it if needed.

Abby is a victim as well as her family. No theorizing on pregnancy. Abby's family are not suspects and are not to be discussed in this manner.

the cops would not release a sketch of this man if they didnt need to talk to him! omg.

my brain is exploding.

I was thinking more along the lines of "going with the flow" until they pounce.
