I am in Maine too, 22 miles from n.conway, this is trivial but NH is tax free, we shop there and do groceries 2x a week. Lincoln is gorgeous, there was a 12 year old boy lost there some time ago, not a happy ending, he was on a trail not far from the lodge, many searches - disappeared, but he was lost , trying to find his way back to his dad.

I used to stay at a place called Maple Lodge Motor Court. Not actually in Lincoln, I think, but just outside. Not sure now. Two or three miles from Clarks Trading Post. Stayed there every weekend one whole summer.

I haven't known about this site too long. I found it when the Ayla Reynolds case started, then followed the Nicole Cable case, and now this one.

Hi so yesterday, Yes, the tourists are sorta leaving a bit now, this past weekend many cottage lake people come up to close their cabins for the winter, ski people arrive soon. We are in that process too, 2 weeks left, last hurrah of summer.

I think maybe it is not a tourist in the AH case, but just do not know enuff, all details are so very sketchy.

Maybe they are looking to see if anyone has a new Iphone that they didn't before. Maybe someone has seen someone with a newer iphone but not using it. Maybe LE already knows about where it is, and is trying to scare them out.
I'm just waking up, might not make any sense.

We are a week into Looking for Abigail. Even though foul play has not been mention I think it is still important for people to pay attention to friends/family/neighbors, any new scratches, or acting differently. I think LE should mention this too. A lot of people might not be aware of what to look for.

To me there is one likely and one unlikely scenario:

Abby was on her way home when someone she knew offered her a ride but was not intending on taking her home. This seems likeliest if we go by everything LE has said: we don't know if she made it home, phone signal on Cranmore way faster than she could have walked, no text or call to cops when things got weird. This may have been planned or spontaneous and they may think that if Abby was killed or held hostage, her belongings were dumped elsewhere hence the phone being separate.

The more unlikely scenario is that is a stranger managed to abduct her from the roadside. I think this would be difficult to do but not impossible if they knew her schedule and had a plan. I think LE might have thought that based on the roadblock and the dd receipt "lead". But I don't think this is as likely because I think someone would have seen something if that's sort of a busy road, and if she walked with her phone in her hand like she did leaving the high school, she likely could have called someone pretty fast as she was being taken. I just don't know if I can believe this scenario.

I don't buy that she left on her own, unless she was suicidal possibly and even then, I think she would have left a note, something. Mooooooo!

I've said on many threads that predators have the best of luck. I think many are opportunistic and don't have a plan at all but always seem to have luck on their side. In that one 20 second time when no other human was in sight , they find the child they want.

Has there been any mention of any type of despondence / depression / incidents that would make suicide a possibility? For some reason, that has not crossed my mind.

Also, has there been much mention of Abby's likes, hobbies, favorite things? Would it help us to know if she enjoyed softball or skating or online gaming or drill team or band or babysitting, etc?

Abby is a freshman, do not know when exactly in Sept. School started, she has been there just a few weeks, 900 plus students. She was on track team. I would like to know how long Abby has lived in nh, I do not know, does anyone else ?

ooh. ok. can you explain about needing approval? my daughter said she has "find my iPhone" on her iPhone 5 and when she used the iPhone and opened the app and typed in her Apple ID and password the app found our ipad, but not the iPhone she was using.

and on topic. I didn't hear anyone say that Abby and her iPhone are separated. did I miss that they know this to be true?

download Life 360 You still need approval but it shows where my kids are it shows all sex offenders in whatever area your in pictures and all. shows crime in area your family is in during the days travels. Its amazing.

Schmae, in the first presser that her mom spoke, she asked if people ( her peers ?) had noticed any change in Abby recently. I do not know what to read into that request.

Bear with me...I have been working on a map to try to calculate where Abby might have been walking at the time of her last text at 2:53 pm. This is assuming she walked at Google's pace, didn't stop, and used North/South Road. I know she was a runner but she was probably carrying her backpack, had on boots, and was texting while walking. I won't go into all the details but I broke it down by feet per minute and then back to percentage of a mile. Here is what I came up with: That would have put her at Mountain Valley Blvd. which was 1.2 miles into her walk marked A on the map.

https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...&t=h&gl=us&dirflg=w&mra=dme&mrsp=0&sz=17&z=15

B would be approximately where she might have been at 3:07pm. But the cell activity showed her west of Cranmore at that time. So, somewhere between Mountain Valley point A and point B she could have gotten in a vehicle. Locals help me out...would it take about 6-7 minutes to drive a point between A and B to west of the Cranmore Resort? If so then that would mean she might have been halfway between those 2 points since that would put the time around 3pm. 7 minutes before the last activity at 3:07. I see a little road of some sort that leads to North South Road about halfway on the blue route behind the outlet stores.

Hope this makes some sense. I know there are lots of variables but I wanted to try to figure this out!

Map works fine for me, where (in relation to A and B) was the increased LE activity yesterday?

I find the lost and found phone request to be really strange as well. They're laying something down we're not picking up.

Thanks cat fancier,

Geevee, I can not get that map. What I said up thread about some maps being wrong....I meant this. On no/so rd. There are no exit , entrance, access roads on to the north south from artists fall rd. all the way down to the road into the settlers green shopping area. That was some kind of overlay that may be planned in the future, but it is not there now, that includes the one that is shown on village way.

Am hoping Danak chimes in, he is on that road daily, I bet, as a shortcut to his job.

I was just thinking.... if Abigail was approached by a stranger, and she appears to be in good physical condition, wouldn't she have run? Or would she have been stunned and tried to be polite? Do kids that age have the built in 'danger alert' yet?

I wonder if a perp would be so stupid.. but then again, we've seen a LOT of dumb behaviour. I hope someone speaks up if they do have suspicions based around a phone.

Well then I suppose that could answer the question of what the mother found when she returned home.. precisely nothing. :(

My thoughts are that she was picked up by someone known to her during the walk home. Whether that was a planned meet up or a chance encounter that went sour, I don't know.

Ok, what if she went to that shopping area... wasn't that on the way home from school? Maybe a store even has her being there, just walking around, or sitting and texting, etc. Look in your lost and found... what a clue! SHESH!

BTW, I doubt that phone would get turned in, but if it was dropped somewhere, an employee might would find it, but in a week's time I would think they would have alerted the police anyway!

OT: This past weekend my daughter lost her keys in the movie theater. Nothing of value, just car/house keys and multiple key chains. No one turned them in. They would be of no use to anyone else, but still didn't get them back!

We use Life360, as well, and I think it's great.

However, there have been some glitches. Once my daughter, who is 12, went to dinner with a new friend and her parents (whom I've never met). When it came time for her to be home and she wasn't here yet, I Life360'd her. It showed her in the middle of the lake near our home! I completely lost my marbles and considered (within about 2 seconds) of running to the lake (about 2 miles away) and jumping in to save her. Mind you it was the middle of winter, but, no matter. I tried very hard to be rational and kept updating her location. Within 2 minutes, her little dot was on dry land again and she was home within 5 minutes. Phew!

That is correct. Village way ends very close to the N_S road. There is a pulloff area with a firehydrant on N-S Rd. that you can see the condos on Village Way from. Just a patch of woods in between.
