LE should at least clarify what they know for sure, i.e. where she was last known to be, etc. if they really want help from the public. Nothing against Mom, but I want to hear from LE.

No way should this updated/new information have been given through Abby's mother.

LE should have held a press conference to disclose time and place they believe she disappeared from.

How do they expect to get good tips from the public when the information given is all wrong.

Things change and LE promised to hold a press conference if needed. They failed miserably!

You make good points but how about this. Somebody sees her walking down the highway and kind of follows her til she turns off into the wooded area. There are some really remote areas in her walk home. Parks the car, truck and waits in hiding. Jumps out...covers her mouth and drags her in.

Could have even used one of those stun guns or something in the rag over her mouth.

I don't know but I think there could be lots of ways to grab a girl if you were evil and looking. Remember too that these guys have usually struck before so they have an idea how to do their evil doings.

Just my thoughts. Crazy as they might be.

and that's how it gets sloppy. Things get dropped, left behind in those instances. A shoe, an earring, a button, something falls out of her bag, etc. and he'd have to know her route, know that she walks through that wooded area, that she walks alone, etc.

I agree. The map/search area(shaded) starts from just beyond Home Depot and AH home. If cameras show her on her "normal route" as posted previously by LE, that could mean up to the beginning of the search area. Maybe she did "make it home" but not inside, just to the area. OR maybe the front/back of walmart was the last observation by cameras and something happened between Walmart and home. Could N/S road be eliminated as a "busy area"? What other locations could be eliminated by this description?

It would surely help if we knew if Abby did in fact make it home? Why not give out that information?

Heck first thing she would do is take the pups out...was she followed and grabbed then or did somebody living, renting close by grab her.

Did anybody see anything...oh yeah that's right we don't have any idea what we are looking for???

Frustrated...yep I'm frustrated. LE is letting Abby down...big time.

Earlier on, if my memory serves me right, one girl said they had seen her in the back of Walmart. I have never seen any more follow up on this.

There has to be some kind of video from her walk by that commercial area where Walmart is located.

However if there is LE has chosen not to show it. So we don't get to SEE the missing GIRL we are supposed to be looking for. :banghead:

If in fact, it is new info and not a misinterpretation of what is known. I am just not sure.

Since everything seems to point towards her being picked up in broad daylight in a busy area, I lean even more towards the idea that her abductor was not a stranger to her. If a stranger had approached her and tried to force her into their vehicle, there would likely have been a struggle, screams, cries for help... something. Someone would have seen it, and would have remembered seeing it.

The lack of witnesses makes me think that whatever happened, it was something that looked mundane, normal and non-threatening to passersby. I think she thought she was getting an innocent ride to home or somewhere else.

Perhaps somebody she met during her time in the Walmart area letting them know she was walking home.

Isn't the area of interest on up the road from the Walmart area?

Then too that leads us back to the phone and who she was texting with her information and plans.

I have to think LE has something and they are playing the waiting game.

Also I have been thinking if she was grabbed she would have lost something in the struggle...phone, backpack, shoe...something..some clue.

How come they can't find the darn phone? Don't most phones have a GPS installed in them now?

That's pretty funny. LOL.

Honestly, I think we've all kind of hashed and rehashed everything we can with regards to this case.
We probably all have our private suspicions, but until LE vocalizes some of them for us, they're off limits.

What's that leave us with? :Bennymonkey:

Well it kind of leaves me with this;

The phone shuts off at a certain time.

Where exactly would/could Abby be at that time.

That's how I took it when Zenya said that last night. I think she's just going by the time of the last cell phone ping, and by the idea that the way she walked would have been busy.

We got some nice pictures from the vigil last night. I wasn't sure if it's ok to share them on here or not. If it is, let me know and I will.

What time does their school get out at anyway? I'm still stuck on that "approximately 3:00 pm" time given after 2 1/2 weeks of saying "2:30 pm". When i was in high school, I had to walk home 2 miles every now and then and would occasionally catch a ride from someone I knew really well on an every-day basis...........my teachers!!! I felt totally comfortable enough to climb in their car. They are just as popular in a community as the students are so no one ever made a fuss when it came time to catch a ride with them. The time frame of AH going missing between 3-4 pm totally strikes me as the time when a teacher, principal,VP, coach, janitor etc would be headed home themselves since they almost always stay a little later. And if school gets out at 2:30 that means AH stayed a little later right? JMO.

I thought she had an IPhone? From other cases, they continue with their magic until the die because they can't really be turned off?

Please post any photos you took, just note in the post that you took them yourself.

I wonder if they went from 230 last seen to approximately 300 because of the text, maybe they are comfortable it came from her?

Well to be fair I think half the kids in school knew her route. The bus gang, her friends, those that pass her in cars on the highway. Perhaps the people pouring her favorite drink at some spot along her route. Kids just love those highpriced flavored drinks from McDonalds and Starbucks. Maybe she stopped there each day she walked..chatting away to waiters and listeners.

In high school everybody seems to know everybody's business. Look how much we know about a girl many states away from most of us in just this short time.

Social media....

And that's why, in my mind, it's unlikely a stranger who grabbed her.

We should never have to guess when time is of the essence.

It needs to be clear and precise as soon as timelines are established.

LE failed to give that to a public who was looking for Abby.

Then they sent a mother and sister to a WALK to clarify. :banghead:

Yes it's becoming clearer to me that it might be somebody she knew or who knew her and she felt comfortable with.

Remembering too this was a busy time as one poster noted. People coming home from school and work, picking up food for dinner, driving kids to practice.

Lots of people and vehicles on the road.

It's not like when Sierra went missing or Hailey disappeared but it is a lot like when Jessica was snatched and nobody saw anything.

You can power down (completely turn off) an iPhone, you just have to do it purposefully, otherwise it just goes to "sleep" and still pings.
Also, you can quickly silence pinging by getting it wet, or smashing it. My guess is that if AH was taken by someone, they knew to disable her phone ASAP.

If not the text then a witness or she was scene on surveillance video.

Some pictures from last night's walk for Abby....pictures taken by my husband. Hopefully I'm doing this right!

Thanks to CatFancier for fixing my giant pics. I will be sure to resize next time!
