I am tossing out a hyperthetical........What if she had gotten on the bf's bus to go to his house and they had an argument so she got off the bus and walked? Meaning she got off the bus before it even started to leave the school. Just tossing that out there is all. Not much of anything else is going on here at the moment anyways.

I do know what kids talk about as i have raised a few of my own. Not being argumentative here. But, kids do ask "hey where are ya at now"?

sure, headed to the lunchroom "where are ya now". Headed to meet in the mall, "where are ya now". He knew where she was headed, home. She wasn't asking him "where are ya now" either, he's on the bus headed home. They're texting hearts and to each other and reconfirming they're still in love. Thing is, we don't know. Maybe he did text "where are ya now", we don't know. We don't what she texted during that entire 30 min texting session, we don't know who she may have been texting to other that JC and we don't know why she stopped texting, other than her last text which was a heart. We don't know if JC responded to the heart text and didn't receive any response back and maybe that's what alerted them to trouble. We know her phone was still on for a short time after the heart text because while it was doing some data updating, it pinged north of cranmore mountain. I guess a better question would be, why does it matter if he texted her to inquire about her whereabouts? Was he supposed to know she was in danger? Was he supposed to check in with her to make sure she made it home? The assumption is he asked her and he knew she wasn't safe, because he was supposed to have asked her? I think that's reaching and I have to disagree with that supposition. Not saying I don't share your sentiment because I too believe she went willingly with someone she trusted, but I also think that that someone had a vehicle and a license to drive.

Somebody would have seen that. Student or driver and clearly the bf. and yes when a bus is loading in busyness they would clearly remember somebody trying to push through to GE off. The bf would have told LE had that happened, too.

This might be a dumb question. But...

How do we know Abby took the same bus a her boyfriend? I think I have read every article and I do not recall seeing anything about that. I think chances of both of them riding the same bus in a school of 900 students would be slim.

Amanda, is this the question you wanted answered? I don't think we know if they rode the same bus. There are so many boundaries and the only thing that was posted were the bus schedules.

We don't. But I do think JDC would have said something about it in the interview. He's been very forthcoming with everything.

This is just so frustrating. i would love to help in some way but they aren't looking for outside volunteers- they said they would let folks know in the media if they needed them. Well, guys and gals, it's been over a month, what are you waiting for, six feet of snow to drop on the ground before you ask for volunteers? It's not easy searching for a missing person in the snow- I did that twice, came within feet of finding the man's body which was discovered on a different day, gives me chills that my sister, daughter, and I were that close to him. It was very hard walking in the snow and cold weather, trust me. plus, any evidence that might be found now could end up being covered under the snow, not to mention any DNA or finger prints might wash off from the snow.

This case is making me batty. I think I need to take a few days off from it, it's really bothering me. A beautiful young lady is missing and that's about all that we know besides that she walked home and texted a friend and her boyfriend while doing it just before she disappeared into thin air. I call BS.

Sadly, anyone with lots of time only need go through the many hundreds of missing persons cases here to see that people do, in fact, seemingly vanish into "thin air". Of course they don't really, but they may as well, for how many are never found.

It has not been said definitively that it she was texting with her boyfriend this whole time. It was said she was texting with a friend, and it has been said she sent him the heart, but I don't remember seeing anything verifying she was talking with him the whole time.

Did anyone see the comment on the missing abigail hernandez page about the Craigslist lost and found ad? iPhone in an otter box case had been found in Maine? I hope all of these fb accounts are being monitored and followed up on by LE/ FBI!!

My 14 yr old son carries on multiple text conversations at one time....

My worry ( that I can post ) is just how similar her features are to other missing girls in that area
