All I saw was a frozen screen w/ a translucent photo of Abby.

I am wondering why the mother didn't come out a lot sooner then this. After reading the posts here I see there isn't anything new from the presser.

The Union Leader had a link to a letter from Zenya to Abby dated today. It is hand written, and pleads with Abby to make contact and tells her that she supports her and her dreams.
It appears with no evidence of a kidnapping we know of, both parents are on the side of her being a runaway.

Perhaps Abby dreamed of moving away from NH after high school? When I was Abby's age I used to always tell my mother I was going to go to college across the country, and all the places I wanted to live (anywhere other than my town :blushing.

Sounds like she is just trying to sound as supportive as possible.

That stood out to me too, maybe she wanted to be something, or do something her family didn't fully approve of. Maybe she wanted to be a musician or actress, maybe she ran away to NYC or LA, in search of stardom. *clutching at old cliches here* But it's a possibility I am willing to accept. Where are you Abby!!?

I think there is a lot of pressure for her to push for Abby's return.

She has shown silence. Maybe it's her way but social media is clambering for her to plead for Abby's return.

So now she has read a letter. She has spoken.

IMO, if Abby was abducted, it would not be a smart move for Zenya to act like she's a runaway. I know that's the favorable option, but the public and the media will lose interest if they think Abby left on her own. If Zenya thinks Abby was aducted, she needs to push that. Urgency is important here. So now I am thinking that Zenya does think Abby left willingly?

Abby doesn't strike me as the kind of girl who would but…

Do we know if she had any accounts on a site like Model Mayhem or something similar?

The talk of "dreams" and someone bringing up acting/modeling made me think of the several young women here on WS who have gone missing that had accounts on Model Mayhem or similar sites. These sites can be another way for predators to gain information about a young girl and take advantage of her.

I don't really get that vibe from Abby, as she didn't seem (from pictures) to be too into makeup or being a prissy girly-girl. But it is something to consider.

Don't know what to think anymore. Based on LE reaction at the beginning I thought 100% kidnapping. Based on parental reaction they certainly seem to believe that Abby has run away.

Mom makes no mention of whoever may have her...only talks to Abby. Same with dad.

Very, very strange.

There was a very recent case in my city of a 16 year old girl who just vanished after stepping out from a family dinner for some air. They did find her alive about a month later but the family seemed to know that she was with a male (I think possibly boyfriend) who really was bad news. The message from the parents and even LE pretty much told the picture of where everyone thought she was. He was arrested once she was found. In this case it truly looks like everyone is thinking runaway.

Dreams....there has to be something to that....not something you would jsut say for no reason.
