I always thought the reporter who said "press conference" might have misunderstood Ramsey, that perhaps Ramsey something like "we'll have something for the press by the end of the week", knowing he was going to do the interview with Fox Boston at the end of the week.

I was running dates myself last night to see what significance there could be to the dates AH went missing and the letter. See if there were any connections. We knew that John Lennon's birthday was October 9th, but there are no other Beatles things on October 22. Why write a letter on October 22? And why send it on October 23? There's got to be some reason a letter was sent on that date but I'll be darned if I can find a connection between that day and October 9. Was there anything significant going on in the investigation on October 21? Was there a vigil around that time? I do know ZH opened her FB on Oct 18. But why write a letter on that day? There's got to be a reason.

This article, though raw, makes some interesting points and advocates for change in how we perceive prostitution and seeks to stop demand for buying another human being for the purpose of having sex. It is a long article, however, IMO one worth reading. Later in this piece, it discusses how Sweden changed its laws and the result is a sharp drop in the sex trade. These laws are being studied by countries all over the world because they are very effective. Human trafficking is big business, second only to the drug business. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to put a hurtin' on the slimes who are selling, buying, and even abducting victims. Right, Clu. Mom24's post (Thread #7 post #274) came about a week after Take's post regarding the presser. I think the more relevant information would be when did KR state the tease about a press conference? If that information came out before 11/6, the connection would be tenuous at best. I've done a quick check through MSM and haven't found a link yet.

We'll, I'm going to assume at this point that Kieran Ramsey said that on November 9 with the thought in mind that they knew about the letter since FBI had it since November 6 but at the end of the week decided not to go public with the letter..... But instead right before thanksgiving zenya read a letter to Abby that she wrote, hence in think Zenya really felt she had to say something to Abby and if Abby was watching, would know her mom got the letter. Obviously LE didn't feel comfortable going public with the fact a letter from Abby had been received until December 5 when they announced there would be a presses on December 6.

There is your most significant part of the timeline IMHO.

If she is staying away on purpose, the FBI offering a reward for her return would make even the most headstrong teen realize how far out if her control this has gotten. A letter home (in her mind) may lessen the public concern and make it easier for her to return on her own terms. Kids rarely consider their actions may go beyond just Mom and Dad being pissed off.
If the letter is not authentic, then the police confirming it's existence may make the perp write again, it would not be the first bad guy to taunt the police and family. There was obviously something in the letter that rang true or at least confirmed the writer knew Abby and was not just some random kook.

That was rumor. There were no leaks. They came out with it because they wanted to.
