With the now addition of Pepper Reed, is there a solid list of Possible or assumed victims of rasmussen? Assuming Pepper Reed, Denise Beaudin, Denis Denault(?)

"Huber said the body of a woman was found in a state of advanced decomposition and police couldn’t discern the woman’s facial features. She had been placed in the refrigerator with a pillow, sleeping bag and what appeared to be several blankets, he said."

Did they ever find out who the woman in the refrigerator was? I wonder if this could be Pepper Reed or Denise Beaudin?

Also, from another post, what are "grass mushrooms?"

I simply don’t understand his motives. There were reports that he sexually abused Lisa before she was finally rescued from him. I thought perhaps he was targeting women with young children (like Marlyse and Denise), abusing the children, then murdering them all when the mother eventually found out. However, as far as we know, Pepper didn’t have children when she met Terry. So much incomprehensible evil, and for what?!
I've never heard that Eunsoon Jun had children either, and she was in her 40s, wasn't she? So not so likely to get pregnant.

Maybe he thought he was too old to try and play families.

So... Rea had an official birth certificate with Rasmussen's name? In an area tied to TPR and during a timeframe he was known to be there? And her family knew she had a child with TPR and then disappeared shortly after? With these very obvious clues, I assume Rea/Pepper were on their radar for a long time before the official DNA identification?

California's online/public listings for births don't have the father's name and only have the mother's maiden name. It would have never come up through normal record searching (or she would have just been one of thousands with the same last name). You have to order the specific person's birth certificate and receive it on paper/view the physical archives to see the actual parents (this is how it was explained to me a while ago by a friend who got really into his genealogy during Covid and had trouble researching because of this).

It was only when the last name Reed became known through genetic genealogy that they could do more targeted searches and found something useful.

I don't believe I've heard that Pepper's family knew she had a child with Rasmussen. I thought they just said they didn't hear from her after the mid to late 70s. Are you confusing Pepper with Marlyse? Her family met him and they disappeared after a family argument at Thanksgiving time.

I'm not sure if anyone knows what this means specifically. Lisa/Dawn was a little girl who was probably less than accurate in her memory of adult conversations. I've never heard of them. Maybe mushrooms in their backyard lawn? Is this a colloquial term?

"Pepper Reed was last seen by her family in Texas during Christmas of 1975. At the time, she was pregnant. According to the family, the child’s father was Terry Rasmussen. However, after Christmas, the family said that Pepper moved to California. They never met the child or saw Pepper again."
Pepper's family knew she had a child with Rasmussen, I would assume. I would assume that she let them know about Rea's birth and name and maybe sent pictures? At the very least, they knew she was expecting a child by him if carried to term.

Maybe just not yet? Also, I wonder if the timing of this announcement was deliberately scheduled around Pepper's birthday, which was Sept 6th, according to Find a Grave?

It was in the NCMEC statement yesterday. It could be an error though.

Pepper Reed was last seen by her family in Texas during Christmas of 1975. At the time, she was pregnant. According to the family, the child’s father was Terry Rasmussen. However, after Christmas, the family said that Pepper moved to California. They never met the child or saw Pepper again.

Given these developments, I feel like every birth certificate should be pulled that lists "Terry Rasmussen" or any of his aliases from any of his known areas of residence. There's no telling how many more victims we don't even know exist yet.
