According to an article I read online she put an ad out for a handyman and he responded. I can't find that exact article but this one does mention she hired him as a handyman.

Evans referred to the girl’s mother as Denise LaPorte, and that he said she had died in Texas. He told one person she had been in a car accident. He told another she had been murdered, after she “panicked” during a robbery.

Jun, a Korean immigrant hired him as a handyman. He soon moved in with her.

unofficial wedding — with no certification — in the summer of 2001. It had a Star Trek theme.

Jun had gone to Virginia, or to Oregon to work on a cabin.

In a crawl space under the house, attached to the garage, police found Jun’s body under 250 pounds of cat litter.

In 1986, Evans wrote a brief autobiography that authorities later obtained. It said he was the youngest of six kids, born to Norwegian-American parents who abused him practically from birth, and refused to allow him to attend school. It said he ran away from home at age 14, joined the military, then moved to Canada, where he met Denise LaPorte. It said they married in Virginia, had a daughter, and that Denise died in 1983.

Researching information in Idaho, according to the person whom the vehicle was stolen from Evans was going by Mockerman. The Preston Citizen article has very good information.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Evans lived in Preston sometime in the 1980s. Sometime between 1986 and 1988, Evans stole a vehicle in Preston and claimed to have worked on a farm.

On Thursday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in Preston was not available to comment about any information regarding Evans while he lived in Southeast Idaho.

Crystal Douglas, the founder of East Idaho Cold Cases Inc., said she is not aware of any cold case murders in the Preston area between 1986 and 1988

According to the report, the suspect, Robert “Bob” Evans, held a job in Franklin County in sometime between 1987 and 1988, and stole the vehicle from a Franklin County resident who knew him as Gerald or Jerry Mockerman.

Believe Walker County JD's DNA and the Allenstown Adult Female both have DNA's in NAMUS they would have crossed matched.

Since the victims were wrapped in materials from Evans and Denise's work (Carol Cable), that suggests they were killed while Denise was in the picture, potentially placing their death date late 1980 (After Aug- Denise likely conceived her child before Aug 1980 and Evans no longer lists a spouse "Elizabeth" as of Oct 1980) to their disappearance in 1981. Could Denise be an accomplice in the murder? Or could Evans have just used the items from her work without her knowing. For some reason I believe he confided in Denise about his past and what he has done.

IMO... I'm placing Evans in Texas anywhere in the time frame of (Dec 1981 - Feb 1984) and may have used the name Curtis Mayo Kimball or Curtis Rollin Kimball. LE detective ran the license plate of the truck and it was registered to a motel in Texas (Still looking for that article). Wonder if there were any trucks reported stolen under either of those names.

It may be possible once Evans abandoned D/L that he had intent to flee go to Texas again due to the phone calls being placed to RV Parks around the Austin, TX area... However who knows if he did or not as that he soon enough showed up as being in Idaho sometime between 1986-1987.

That is where I'm going with the time frame some time between Jun 1980 - Oct 1980 as to when the murder of the (4) took place at this moment, working some other times lines so it may change. Denise became pregnant somewhere between Aug/Sept 1980. We do not know (Or at least I do not) when Evans and Lisa got together was it in later part of 1980 or sometime in 1981. It is very possible that Denise figured something out, possibly his past or what he had done. It may be that Denise initially left with Evans blind and not knowing at all only under the presumption it was due to financial reasons. In all he may have let something slip either pre-disappearance or after, she may have been with him a little while after and it came out.

Wonder if she knew about him having another child or possibly and entire family and questioned him where they were at ?

He was an electrician the materials could have been purchased from her company to be used at the mill or at the store he would had access to the materials at either location. Do believe Carol Cable is how they met while she was working there.

Evans had contacted (2) specifically he may have come to Austin after Jul 1986 he may have not. It is my opinion he did not and headed to the midwest he reappeared in Idaho (1986-1988) as that the truck he was driving in 1988 was stolen from Idaho in 1987.

The suspect might have known someone who lived at an RV park in Austin during 1986. The suspect called two RV parks: Austin Lone Star RV Resort and Pecan Grove RV Park.

Any chance Robert Evans could have been Robert Rasmussen? Robert Rasmussen disappeared at age 13 in 1957 with a friend named Gerald. They said they were going swimming, but both families believe the boys ran away. There are no pics of Robert Rasmussen, but the family resemblance is uncanny.
