And it's real close to a recreational park which probably has a RV park near it.

I noticed that too! He seems to always reside near one. Coincidence?

forthevictims - is there any recordings anywhere of RE's voice, like any of his police interviews, or any possible media coverage of his trial where he might be talking, that you know of?

Here's something interesting-

http://law.justia.com/cases/california/court-of-appeal/3d/94/451.html

Just feels like him, but can't say for sure. If so that would place him in San Francisco between 1975 and 1977.
Appeals court says records gone.
SF court says records gone. (searched under all AKAs and DOBs)
Looks like his attorney and the investigator are now deceased. If anyone can find otherwise please share...or any other ideas on other search methods.
The Canavesio was a real person, now deceased, no record retained of a CDL on that Gordon Jensen or the forms presented in court. (would of been a thumbprint!!!)
Any other ideas on digging up info???

"At the preliminary hearing, John McKee, a special investigator with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), introduced three DMV forms to the court: (1) an application for a California driver's license signed by Gordon Jensen and dated September 18, 1975; (2) an application for a California identification card signed by Charles Lee Canavesio and dated November 8, 1976; and (3) an application for a California identification card signed by Gordon Jensen and dated August 16, 1977."

Quoted for timeline.. FWIW, I think this was him...or else these names were being sold multiple times.

Here's another shady Gordon Jensen that goes back to 1969 in Detroit. If this file still exists, it may have a picture of one or both men.

Could he have been jumping back and forth to the same alias's? Just using them in different locations. The world wasn't as connected back then, could he have gotten away with that before LE started using an online database?

That's interesting because there is a Curtis Mayo Kimball from Georgia. The officer in CA that recognized his accent as being from the east coast. Maybe he's from Georgia If two of his stolen identities end up being from there.
I believe the officer from California asked Robert Evans that judging from his accent, was he from back east and Robert Evans said it was none of her business. So Robert Evans did not confirm that he was from the east and the officer was only guessing as to the origin of Roberts accent. Since Robert said he had Norwegian/Danish parents, I believe he got his accent from his parents. As I mentioned earlier, the most densely populated area of Norwegian/ Danish people is Northeastern Montana, but, of course, there were other smatterings of Norwegian/Danish people in other places.

I should have worded that different. Like you said she(the officer) didn't confirm his accent origin but just said it sounded like he was from the east coast. Sorry, I need to get better at the way I word things on here. What alarmed me about that was how defensive he got when she told him, which leads me to believe she was onto something with that comment, but who knows, he could have just been defensive because she was curious of his origin and he has a lot to hide regarding it.

About him having said he had Norwegian/Danish parents, I'm hoping he didn't lie about that like he lied about a lot of things, but you never know, he could have been proud of his heritage and was truthful about that. Within some lies we know were some truths.

Accents aren't hereditary, at least not completely or directly. Accents are more so imprinted from your environment. But If he grew up without a lot exposure to outside his home early in life (like living in a rural area I suppose) then his accent would be more likely to greatly be influenced by his parents.

If I had to guess, RE got nervous when he was asked if he were from back east because of what he left behind in Allenstown, and he most likely knew by that point that both barrels had been found. It probably sounded like the detective was fishing for more than where he came from. If I know human nature and guilty consciences at all, I bet the first thing he would have looked up on line was NH news sites to see if the four victims had been discovered. It could also be the reason why he didn't fight the charges, because he knew if they dug just a little below the surface, they'd find him out, and he'd never get out of prison. This way, by playing the game, he didn't make waves or cause further suspicion and had a chance at freedom. This is just my take on things.

He had a "back east" accent when he talked to Detective Grunheid. However he's also been heard with a southern accent and no accent. It seems he could turn accents on and off at will.I think the description of him as a "chameleon" is very fitting.

Also it could be telling about where he has been. I don't know when or how close in time these variations were reported, but If you're in an area long enough, it is possible to pick up some speech habits from the area. I agree, "chameleon" is extremely fitting!

Wow! That's around 40 minutes away from a couple towns where a CMK lived.

Exactly ... However FTV stated the arrest was under GJ not CMK

Geez.. Louise .. Now the timeline has more twist and turns ..

Will say this .. I can talk either way . Disguise my accent or not
Depends if I'm in a professional environment or a relaxed environment where one could. Pick up on words

Had many not recognize my accent

I found a CMK that lived nearby where Mockerman lost his ID paperwork. I just re-read that post and whoa! I totally missed the part with the Jenson arrest! That would be nuts if he had gotten most of his alias's from Georgia!

Only record found so far was simply of an arrest in Georgia under the Gordon Jenson name and previous info was same physical description-if you find more please share! Thank you! Also the real Mockerman lost his ID paperwork outside of Atlanta GA.

Curtis Mayo Kimball- lived in a couple areas 30 mins outside of Atlanta
Gordon Jenson- Greensboro Arrest
Gerry Mockerman- lost ID outside of Atlanta
All areas are within an hour of each other

I made a map map.jpg
