IMO, it does sound like one of his kids came forward to offer DNA:
Around 1973, Rasmussen's wife left him, authorities said, and the last time she and the children saw him was when he showed up unexpectedly for a visit around Christmas 1974. A DNA sample from one of those children helped confirm Rasmussen's identity, Kokoski said. One of the daughters declined to comment Friday.

"They all obviously want their privacy, but I think it's fair to say they were all very troubled by what we were telling them about what Terry had gone on to do with his life," he said.

I hope they get their privacy just like Denise's daughter did. I can't imagine the horror they must feel.

How do we know his father is (or was) deceased?

I'm sure quite a few people have found out his name and death records by now but we are not allowed to discuss his family here.

Let's focus on the missing years from Dec 1974 to 1977/78. Terry had to have met at least 2 of his victims during those years-- the woman in the barrel and the woman who mothered his child found in the barrel. If "Elizabeth Evans" and the woman who came to AZ with him in Dec 1974 are neither of those two (nor the same person) there might be 4 (or more) adult women he crossed paths with in those few years. Not to mention the children of these woman. :scared:

With all the women that he likely hooked up with, wonder if there are more children alive that are his? With the bodies in the barrels: could a test be done to the bones to determine if they were given some sort of poison/chemical to kill them? Since the barrels were found years apart, do you think there are more out there that have not been discovered?

Missing girl from 1973 with an Arizona and Texas connection. Just a thought.

Dorothy has my curiosity up, she may have traveled to Portland, OR or Houston, TX .. Charley states Texas authorities are investigating which leads me to believe she did travel to Houston or Texas after all.

All we know is TR's family left him in 1973 at the time he was living in Phoenix (Metro Area) then sometime in between 1973-Dec 1974 he relocated to Texas

We know TR was in Texas in the 70's, believe TR was in Texas more than once than just in the 70's Most likely Pre & Post the abandonment of Denise's daughter in 1986

1986 – California

• (January – June) – California, Scotts Valley – Gordon Curtis Jenson/Jensen - Employed and was residing at Holiday Host RV Park

•(June-July) – California, Scotts Valley – Leave’s D/L with family for a (2-3) week trial period (est. 6/13/86) family returned to Holiday Host July 4th weekend however Gordon Curtis Jenson/Jensen was nowhere to be found.

  • License plate of Jensen’s truck was registered to a motel room in Texas

  • Red Dodge pickup w/light colored camper 1965-1968

**1966 Dodge for reference purposes only
1966 Red Dodge Truck.jpg

  • Only phone calls Jensen made from the RV Park were to people at other RV Parks Austin Lone Star and Pecan Grove located south of Austin, TX.

  • Fingerprints of Gordon Curtis Jenson/Jensen had been sent to the Department of Justice for identification and were matched to a Curtis Mayo Kimball (DOB 3/18/42-52?).

  • Neighbors later told police that Evans referred to the girl’s mother as Denise Laporte and she died in Texas. He also told one person she had been in a car accident. He told another she had been murdered after she “panicked” during a robbery.

  • He claimed to have met Denise LaPorte in Quebec, CA and married her in Roanoke, VA

  • In 1986 Evans wrote a brief autobiography that authorities later obtained; he was the youngest of six kids, born to Norwegian American parents who abused him and refused to allow him to attend school. Said he had run away from home at age of 14, joined the military then moved to Canada where he met Denise Laporte. They married on Virginia, had a daughter and that Denise died in 1983.

Well now we know his autobiography was complete fiction. The only things that are true are he had a girlfriend named Denise and she had a daughter. And he was in the Navy. Is there any other connection to Virginia other than what he says? Didn't he also say that Eunsoon went to Virginia? Instead of going to VA, I wonder if maybe one of his victims was named Virginia?

What ever happened to the truck? Or the vehicle he was driving last?

There is some truth in every lie .............

Yes he did

2002 – California

• (June) – California, East Richmond Heights - Eunsoon Jun disappears
Vanner had multiple explanations for Jun’s absence;
She had gone to Virginia or to Oregon to work on a cabin.
She was in Oregon, engaged on a cabin they have been constructing there.

Told neighbors he was born 1937 and other 1945

Believe his nationality was correct as well

BBM. Yes, but that was also slightly off. He is of Scandinavian descent but it's Denmark, not Norway. It's like he lied just enough to make it believable but also in a way that he could remember the lie.

There were other verified connections as well, like the call he made to a therapist while he was being interrogated.

Yeap I found that out yesterday ... in all just because of a stated country name does not mean he is of that specific country decent. Recently found that out about my own heritage ... ancestors came from one country however DNA markers pointed to another that is when I found out the ancestors moved around within the countries of Denmark Norway Finland and The Netherlands

In the end due to not being able to specifically identity due to the movement it comes out as Scandinavian

Hmmm... There's a Laporte, TX just outside of Houston. I wonder if it's a place he was familiar with?

  • #1,637
Someone made a very good point yesterday, TR's women do not necessarily all fall in the MP or UID category they could have been victim's that were identified. However have not been linked to TR as of yet ....... let's hope if that is the case they will be identified as a connection to TR in the short term ..

It's possible .... could be he had been there before or knew of the place and randomly pulled it out of his head.

Believe that Big Three Industries had a large project in LaPorte in the early 80's will have to go back and look for it.

Big Three had registered operations in California, Florida, Nevada and Texas

1983 Big Three had a joint venture with GE to construct a Cogeneration Plant (Generation of Electricity) at the Bayport Industrial facility in Pasadena, TX in which is right next to La Porte, TX. The plant was due to be operational in late 1984 Seemed rather interesting based upon Evans electrical background

Just a note Big Three Ind did not exist after Aug 1986, if Evans statement of being employed here is actual then it would have been prior to Aug 1986. This is area is often referred to Bay City all thou not the actual name more of a nickname

When did Terry leave his family? He visited in 1974. He got a divorce in 1978. But, when did he leave? That can help pinpoint the birth year of his other daughter. Also, we should look at the 4-corners area for missing people due to the tribes there...

He didn't divorce for some time. But, most likely had woman. Could he have killed when they discovered he was married and lief about his identity? The woman he visited with must have known him as Terry or if she found out, did that start the killing? Thoughts?
