Ida and her boyfriend both have DNA at the Louisiana FACES lab, which is one of the databases Namus searches automatically.

I posted the pointer to the boyfriend's picture a few posts upthread. No way he's TR.

No he is not, they went missing from their home along with their truck in which was never found either. Have spoken with her daughter it is a very sad case she just wants to know what happened to her mother

Last I spoke to her she had an appointment scheduled to provide DNA to lsu I would of though lsu would have assisted and provided her file and dNA over to NAMUS

I'm hoping it's the lull before the proverbial storm, and that investigators are hard at work discovering who the A4 victims are and finding DB.

Do you think DB has been found as a Jane Doe? Even though TPR hid the Allenstown victims, he didn't bury them or hide them all that well; he buried his common law wife in her own basement under kitty litter, right? It's hard to see one of his victims going undiscovered all this time unless he got lucky.

That's a tough one because she could be anywhere between coasts, top to bottom. There are a lot of sets of unidentified remains with no DNA, so it's a possibility she's been found and just not identifiable.

TR didn't seem to go to great extremes to hide his victims, maybe using whatever means were handy at the time. I think he got lucky with the NH victims not being discovered together and the second barrel being found later. I think he got lazy with Jun, he wasn't a young dude anymore.

What if he didn't murder DB and she died like he said, only she was buried with an alias? Remember all the stories he told about women he was with and how they died? What if one of them is a true story and DB is actually in a potter's grave somewhere? Is there a way to explore that?

I can't imagine how. Just the sheer volume of places he resided in should make for endless people to search for and interview. They have people they can interview in TX, AZ, NH, CA and HI. Speaking of which, I wonder if he dated anyone in HI before meeting and marrying his first wife?

Yes, if LSU takes the DNA, it will be in NAMUS. .

Nearly 8 years passed between his release and resurfacing that is a large span of time. Where did he go and what alias did he use during this time.

  • 1990, October RASMUSSEN was paroled and absconded the following day in California.

  • 1998, June RASMUSSEN pulled over in California under the name Lawrence William Vanner and cited for not having insurance or a driver’s license.

I think Denise was killed at the time of leaving her home in New Hampshire or shortly thereafter. Since they moved somewhere else, she would have gotten another job and that involves paying social security and there would be records of her paying social security at her new job. I assume both she and Terry both had vehicles, I wonder why they could not be traced.

I also believe she was killed not long after. People disagree sometimes though with saying TR wouldn't likely take care of a toddler alone or then who is Denise Laporte. She still could have worked under the table stuff like Terry for a while (housekeeping). Still don't see him keeping her around too long.

I think there are aliases we don't even know about and never will unless we view every mugshot in every municipality and county in every State for the entire eight year gap.

Same. Every night.

I'm looking at records and archived articles from all the LaPortes I can find:

LaPorte Saskatchewan
LaPorte Quebec
La Porte Texas
Laporte PA
Laporte Minnesota
Laporte Michigan
La Porte City Iowa
La Porte Indiana
Laporte Colorado
La Porte California

The ones in Quebec, California, Colorado, and Texas are the most interesting, but I agree that he probably has aliases and locations we haven't even thought of. I'm focusing on reports of murders and the like.

I have discovered that Denise LaPorte is a fairly common name :p

...that my friend is the kicker ... :pullhair:

Zeroing in on murders is excellent, TR had a method of murder that thus far stayed consistent.

I wonder maybe about this date, 1983:

"...In 1986, Evans wrote a brief autobiography that authorities later obtained. It said he was the youngest of six kids, born to Norwegian-American parents who abused him practically from birth, and refused to allow him to attend school. It said he ran away from home at age 14, joined the military, then moved to Canada, where he met Denise LaPorte. It said they married in Virginia, had a daughter, and that Denise died in 1983.
1. https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2017/01/27/richmond-the-sordid-past-of-drifter-linked-to-six-killings/ ....."

I also think this about Evans / Rasmussen probably typifies how he lived: Reason why I'm leaning on the idea that he looked for support from and his partners ability to meet that need. Also from that same article : " ...Before long Jun began complaining to friends that her husband, who she knew as Larry Vanner, was lazy and not interested in getting a job or starting a family, according to court documents...."

My guess is that a single parent could easily apply for and possibly obtain social services assistance. <shrug>

There's a nugget of truth in most of what TR said, the trick is trying to figure out which part of his statements are the truth and which he's embellishing.
