IMO, I believe I have found another possible child of Rasmussen’s, born 9 Oct 1982 in Michigan. I have no reason to believe they are deceased. Guardianship was petitioned, in 1986, by two people with same last name. Notice of Hearing was published for Terry Rasmussen. I am assuming that since the hearing took place in probate court and guardianship was petitioned for female and male, that mother may have been “unavailable”. I suspect that the mother may have been the sister as her obituary, in 1896, mentioned a daughter of the same name and aligns with the petition year. JMO.

By 1982, I would be very surprised to see TPR using his real name. He appears to have switched to a list of ever-growing aliases when he moved to New Hampshire in the late 1970s. But, when looking to verify whether it's him, look for the middle name - "Peder" with a "d", very distinctive!

I have not been able to find any ‘Peder’ or ‘P’ relating to this record. I am not convinced that it is him. I agree about him using aliases by this point.

Does anyone know if these are all school pictures. I think she was 24 or so when Rae was born.

I believe they are senior photos for the yearbook. I was curious and I found her junior yearbook photo on classmates.com. In that same yearbook, there were other photos. Only one stood out to me at a junior prom that looks like it could be her. Compared to the senior photo, they look very much alike. Attached below.

I was looking through NamUs and I wondered if this girl may be connected. Do we know if Rasmussen had connections to Kentucky? the fact that she was found in a suitcase in a river made me think of the barrels.

Apologies if this has been discussed - are there any leads on TPR's whereabouts in the 1990s? We know by at least 1999 he was in Contra Costa county (when he started dating Eunsoon). There is a series of unsolved murders of young women from that time period in Pittsburgh, CA - that's just 30 miles from where TPR was living.

They think Terry is responsible for Amanda Deza, once known as The Lady in the Fridge, who was murdered in the mid-1990's. She was estranged from her husband and children and disappeared after getting into a relationship with an unknown man she met in rehab. If Terry is responsible, I wonder if he killed her when he realized she couldn't get him access to her children. Which ick.

It's wild though that Terry seemed to have stayed in the California area as much as he did. You would think that he'd try going back to places like Texas or set up in Florida, but I suppose California really seemed to be a great place to easily disappear in.

Reporting says Amanda was last seen with the unknown man at a Napa apartment complex... I wonder if police ever got a general description. TPR was pretty distinctive looking.

When he was released from prison in 1990 he immediatly absconded from parole. Roxanne Grunheid did a really good job of back tracking him in Contra Costa County during that time frame. When he first came out of prison he was broke-he approached a business owner with an offer to do electrical/handyman work. He was given a room in the back of the business to stay in for the work he was doing. The business owner and his family spoke Arabic, which Rasmussen rapidly picked up and spoke fluently. After getting back on his feet financially he moved out of there after a year or two and started a handman business under the Larry Vanner name. He did some work for a friend of Eunsoons that referred him to Eunsoon when she needed some work done-and he then started grooming her as his next victim. He may have briefly left the area, but Roxanne was able to determine that he pretty much stayed in the Contra Costa County area from 1990 until he was arrested for Eunsoons murder.

Is there any more/new information on his whereabouts between 1981-1986? Since his daughter was identified, and Pepper Reed was discovered missing, I'm very interested in this timeline in hopes to find her.

I really wish there was some solid info on that time period, but I have not found any. My thoughts, based on years of researching him is he droppd down to Texas with Lisa after he left NH and groomed another victim. Thank you for this. It's very hard to believe he just took the entire '90s decade off from crime... really hope someone is looking at him for those unsolved murders in Contra Costa during that time.

I did a generic search with TPR’s alias “Larry Vanner” and the name came up for a 1981 conviction in Wellington, North Carolina. I can’t find any record of a Larry Vanner in North Carolina, and the name is not listed in North Carolinas adult corrections public search going back to 1972. The conviction of no operators license and DUI are also consistent with TPR’s known convictions under other aliases.

I am curious if TPR made bail initially but did not go back for the court date, defaulting the conviction, but when he couldn’t be located the charges were dropped/couldn’t be processed further?
I know November 1981 TPR was with Denise Beaudin in New Hampshire, but I have not been able to find a definite trail of TPR from late 1980 until November 1981.
I am wondering if anyone else has come across this and/or if it has been ruled out?

Its worth passing on to NH in my opinion-I haven't ever heard anything about him being in NC before (and I am pretty well acquainted with the timeline) and hes unaccounted for for long periods of time.

That's a really good find. If he left North Carolina around early/mid-October 1981, he would have had a solid month to groom Denise Beaudin.

I think the FBI is still taking tips.
