Too many cases where a woman has portrayed herself as a "Damsel in distress" in order to manipulate a man. Old as time itself. KM herself says she liked that role. I do think she tried to manipulate SM about her "mean father" in order to speed up her moving in with him. I think defense was effective showing how SM was positive about her family in the beginning and it changed when she started to tell him her about her "mean" father.
