Adam will never tell where he put her body. If he had an accomplice, he won't name them either.
Right isnt that what KM said? He took the uhaul alone so she wouldn't know any details if they got caught.

With Defense now saying KM did it will there be a case built against her or does a guilty verdict today seal the deal?

anybody have a feel for how long the jury will take in its deliberations to reach a verdict?

How long do we think these guys will deliberate?

Not sure. The defense didn't really have any significant evidence to support Kayla having done it.

But it only takes one holdout juror for a mistrial.

Hopefully just a couple of hours but as a resident of the the neighboring state I can say the legal system does a lot of hurry up and wait up here. Might not announce the verdict until tomorrow.

I don't know, but INMO, the fact that the defendant didn't attend the trial would be huge for me. If I was a juror, doing my civic duty, for whatever, $20 a day that you get, sitting in those chairs. Forget it.

I would vote for a conviction just because he didn't show up. That would annoy me. Let's look at the paperwork, vote, order lunch, done.

Same. Doesn't show up but has defense to throw in at the end he came home and found she had passed in KM care. Doesn't look good. Hope all the jury agrees he is gulity .

yeah, as a juror I would not have a favorable opinion of a man who didn't even deign to sit in the courtroom with me when I have been tasked with judging him guilty or not.

I understand that it was his "right" to not attend, but I've seen a few weird photos of him grinning and such in previous court appearances. Could it be possible that his attorneys suggested he not attend, because his demeanor alone would lead people to think that he's guilty and is a nut?

There was a note sent to court day one by the COs in charge of transporting him saying AM refused to be strip searched every day and a quote from one that he said he was f*cking done.

Jury instructions, read by Judge regarding the absence of the defendant, ...." that fact should not enter into your deliberations or discussions in any matter at any time ".

I got a jury summons last year; was excited but had to withdraw because I had literally just moved my voter registration from that county (where I grew up and lived for 20+ years) to my current one. Maybe next time.

As I have said before, it's his "right" to not attend (wth New Hampshire?) but it would also be my right as a juror to view that as a sign of "I can't be bothered" or "I am too afraid to be there in person when my actions are described to the public." Guess Adam thought the state would be wasting taxpayer dollars on the prison bus gas to get him to court lmfao.

That seems like an accurate prognostication. Make it so, jurors!

I couldn't handle the testimony in this one, but props to all those who could and took the time to keep softies like me updated in a timely and minimally graphic manner.

Expecting a guilty verdict and never having to hear about AM again.

She can say that 'till the cows come home but that won't stop jurors from thinking that internally.

Of course. Look, anyone who keeps a dead kid in a cooler, for months, or whatever, needs treatment. He won't get it in the community.

I believe Kayla. She was obviously afraid of him. Classic dependent personality disorder. Let's hope she is able to get rehabilitation and become a better human.

I believe Kayla, but I also believe she still has not spilled all the beans AND she is also complicit because she had months and months to pipe up and covered for Adam even after they weren't together anymore. Codependency can't be an excuse for everything.

That methodone clinic had social workers and security guards I am sure. She could of gone in for her dose and said I/we need help. Or all the times he was out hustling. Even the shelter. Or when she gave birth. I had a kid and was homeless at the beginning on pandemic. No drugs or DCF case yet social workers were constantly checking on us the first year.

Just found a really detailed timeline and it mentioned that DYCS received incessant calls regarding the Montgomery family during the time Harmony was in their care that were never followed up on.

Exactly this. She could have been scared and a victim to some point, but that does not mean she can't have been complicit, or a piece of (you know what) quite frankly...

Agree. I think we all know she was just as aggravated about the toileting accidents as he was, especially since Harmony was not even her child.

Absolutely and regardless of the differences between people on how we display emotions, she has not once displayed any sort of care or love for Harmony. That was evident when she was in court and of course all the instances before when Harmony was alive.
