That methodone clinic had social workers and security guards I am sure. She could of gone in for her dose and said I/we need help. Or all the times he was out hustling. Even the shelter. Or when she gave birth. I had a kid and was homeless at the beginning on pandemic. No drugs or DCF case yet social workers were constantly checking on us the first year.

Just found a really detailed timeline and it mentioned that DYCS received incessant calls regarding the Montgomery family during the time Harmony was in their care that were never followed up on.
I hope you are doing ok. :(

"I f***** up." Senior Asst. AG Ben Gati begins closings with a statement #AdamMontgomery said to Travis Beach when Beach got Montgomery a UHaul.

Agati notes Adam said "I" not "We" but "I f***** up". Agati is angry as he recaps what he says Adam did to Harmony.

Agati to jury: "#AdamMontgomery was no loving, caring parent."

Agati appears to take a dig at the defense during his closing arguments.

Agati appears angry when discussing the Abuse of a Corpse charge, showing the jury a bag similar to the one #AdamMontgomery put Harmony's body in.

Agati tells the jury to take a good look at #AdamMontgomery. He shows them shot from surveillance video from a Manchester Walmart.

Agati says #AdamMontgomery's attorneys only want jurors to believe certain aspects of Kayla Montgomery's testimony that works for them.

Agati tells the jury it's okay to dislike Kayla Montgomery, but that does not mean they shouldn't believe her testimony.

Agati says #AdamMontgomery had control over Kayla. "She actually tried to humanize this guy." He reminds the jury that she testified she still cares for Adam.

Firey words from Agati who appears upset as he wraps his closing argument. "She doesn't get a headstone in the ground above the head that he battered.”

The judge is now giving the jury final instructions before they head off to deliberations. 12:53 PM · Feb 21, 2024

I hope you are doing ok. :(
Thank you. Baby boy is healthy and will be four next month. I took full advantage of covid relief funds in our state and was able to get a permanent section 8 voucher and I am going back to school for social work until kiddo starts kindergarten. Tell my story because it just baffles me that no one in a position of power gave a damn to step in and take some kind of action even before they had Harmony KM was known to DCYS.

I don't know, but INMO, the fact that the defendant didn't attend the trial would be huge for me. If I was a juror, doing my civic duty, for whatever, $20 a day that you get, sitting in those chairs. Forget it.

I would vote for a conviction just because he didn't show up. That would annoy me. Let's look at the paperwork, vote, order lunch, done.
I thought that at the start of the trial the judge gave directions to the jury that they are not to take the defendant's absence into account, since it was the defendant's right according to state law. IIRC, someone posted this informaton on here at the start of the trial. The jury has to follow the judge's directions regarding what they may or may not consider when reaching their verdict. This seems to be off limits due to state law.

As I have said before, it's his "right" to not attend (wth New Hampshire?) but it would also be my right as a juror to view that as a sign of "I can't be bothered" or "I am too afraid to be there in person when my actions are described to the public.
Snipped for focus

I understand the sentiment, but it isn't a juror's right to consider the defendant's absence when deliberating guilty or not guilty in a case. They have been instructed by the judge that it is not to be considered as a factor in their deliberations.

She can say that 'till the cows come home but that won't stop jurors from thinking that internally.
Thinking it is okay, but acting on those thoughts is not okay. They have to follow the law and put their thoughts about this aside.

Jury instructions, read by Judge regarding the absence of the defendant, ...." that fact should not enter into your deliberations or discussions in any matter at any time ".

Good luck to them with that one.

“All he has is his car, and his rage, and his fists,” Agati said, later adding, “She doesn’t get a headstone in the ground above the head that he battered. She doesn’t get to be at peace and death because of what he did, because he can’t afford to tell anyone where she is.”

Montgomery "may have genetically donated half his DNA to [Harmony], but he was never her father," Agati said. "She was an object that he beat, stuffed, put in a cooler."

AMs father looked like he was the same age as AM. I had to zoom way in to tell them apart. I was also startled to hear AMs voice in that phone call they played the other day. The other people he hung around didn't have such heavy accents, it was weird that he did.

It could be that Harmony's mom is declaring the estate to prevent others from financially benefitting from book and movie deals in the future.

He is from Revere, Ma super thick accents when you mix mass and nh. Yeah it's crazy to me how he said Harmony looked just like Crystal his dad has four toddlers and they all look just like AM and Harmony.

Praying for a guilty verdict today. If not, we always have our Felony Friday to fall back on.

I really do think the jury will reach a verdict today, I hope so. Thanks to all the posters that kept us updated. It was just too painful to watch, but I want #Justice4Harmony and believe it is coming shortly.

No, it won't bring her back, but I believe she is in a far greater and more wonderful place than her bio donor could have ever offered her in life.

I do believe he is guilty and hope the jury will as well.

Besides the defense atty almost driving me insane with “baby girl,” I did think she made some valid points. I found Kayla’s version of events to be very unbelievable. But, I found the closing odd. Pointing out that Kayla is a liar doesn’t at all negate the fact Adam could have killed Harmony.

None of Adam’s actions (ever) showed him to be a man who relentlessly fought 4 years for custody so he could make a better life for Harmony. She just went from one bad parent to the next.

I feel like I need to go read the jury instructions .
I hope the Jury believed Kayla when she said Adam beat Harmony to death in the car ,Thats all we need for them to find him guilty . They do not have to believe her about anything else.
I cant even guess at what the jury is thinking . I do know that ,I myself do not believe the beat to death in the car, story.

I think something worse happened and Adam wanted to destroy every piece of Harmony because it was that bad. No idea of what it could be though. Nothing in the court files to make me imagine this either and the Jury isnt allowed to make up different theory of crime so they can only consider the case as presented in court. Thankfully .
