As a former Juvenile Court Judge who heard thousands of DCF cases in Mass., I can say this plainly: The state must answer whether the Walshe boys are safe, together as the law prioritizes, and whether DCF and the courts have complied with the legal mandate for permanency in 22 months. None of that is confidential despite DCF claiming privacy.
Why would DCF not place them with their mom's friend Natasha who spoke out on Nightline? The arrogant answer is because they don't have to, just like they didn't have to ensure that Harmony Montgomery was adopted after almost 5 years in their custody.
Massachusetts hid behind "privacy" in Harmony’s case and now she is dead. The SJC justices ordered that the transcripts be released to a documentary producer so it could never happen to another child.
DCF must be accountable. No one is asking where the boys are and who they are with. These are legal questions asking DCF if they are complying with the law.
