Mother's rights terminated prior and why dad became eligible to petition for custody. If only dad would have given up his rights to this child, she'd probably be living happily with the adoptee parents that welcomed her brother.

Oh. well either way this never should have happened. She should be living a happy life right now.

I understand they were terminated but was this before or after the father got custody when he already had other charges pending on him?

from what i recall, moms rights were terminated THEN dad got wind of it and came and requested custody. MA and NH dropped the ball on insterstate compact and closed the case. she fell right through the cracks.

yea that's horrible. someone should be held accountable for her falling through the cracks whether it be the judge, the caseworker, someone...

Last month, a judge at Hillsborough Superior Court-Northallowed Montgomery to be released on a $5,000 unsecured appearance bond and conditions that included the requirement she check in daily at the Manchester Police Department.

Shortly before her release last month, Montgomery had tried to break a pre-trial condition to not have contact with her husband, officials said. She asked her father-in-law during a phone call to pass along a message to him.

“The message was essentially that [she] still loves him, that she’s going to be there for him, that she’s going to wait for him,” Assistant District Attorney Jesse O’Neill said during a hearing last month.

Jumping in late here, but I was never clear on whether CS had her parental rights terminated or she lost custody? Various threads/documents seem to conflict on that point. Is there a link to CS' parental termination hearing?

Her rights were terminated. I don’t have a link but they are throughout the thread.
