I was thinking that some of the known people in Allenstown NH had trained horses and that area was at one time prominent whith the 4h activities. I think it was Robert Callahan that may of worked at a Horse Farm down the road from the Bear Brook Store which subsequently burned down I think around 1985. I wonder if they may have known of this missin person also.

Was Barry Bickford ever questioned about her disappearance? He was supposed to give her a ride home and he came back to the trailer park saying she wasn't there... And we know Janis had accused him of beating Richard just before her disappearance.
Barry was arrested for murdering her 2 year old nephew! Only served 1 year with 10 months suspended

Would you have a link about Robert Callahan? Can’t find find him

Just to correct a slight bit of information. Previous posts suggest that Barry Bickford (the boyfriend living with Janis' sister in law) killed the baby a month after Janis disappeared. He did not. He killed the baby 4 days after she went missing. This is shown in the clipping from the Nashua Telegraph at Clipping from Nashua Telegraph - Newspapers.com. The confusion probably arose as the court proceedings started a month after the missing date. The proximity of the killing and her disappearance raises him further as a POI in my mind.

The death certificate says Richard died January 16, 1968 @2 years old by accident or homicide.

Bumping this question: where is or what happened to Barry Bickford???
Barry Bickford was 21 years old at the time of Janis Louise Taylor's disappearance. He would be 78 today. He served a very short sentence for the murder of a 2-year-old boy shortly after Janis went missing.

If her case is still an active one, investigators should question Bickford.

Bump!
I don't think we should rule out Bundy's involvement in this case. Because the fact that he was in this state a few days before Janice disappeared is amazing. The family could be in despair and believe any word the killer said that he didn't do anything (I don't know if that sounds cynical from the outside). As far as I'm concerned, Bundy could also be a suspect, just like her uncle. At the moment, I'm making a list of possible Bundy victims, and I'll add Janice there, for now.

According to the Multiagency Team Report, on January of 1968, he travelled to California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Arkansas. As far as I know, he has never been considered as a suspect on any New Hampshire murder or disappearance.

Barry Bickford is clearly the most solid suspect here.

I also think Barry is the more likely suspect, but didn't her brother find Bundy's gasoline waste, which occurred around January 6, 1968, in Ladon, NH? It's still worth double-checking. Perhaps the lead on the New Hampshire gas waste has been lost?

I also agree this Barry Bickford is the one responsible for Janis Louise Taylor’s disappearance as he did have a motive (she was planning on reporting him for child abuse) and usually people are killed by those close to them. However if Bundy did spend time in New Hampshire then there is a slim chance he was responsible. Very slim I might add but with Bundy we are figuring out how many were his victims.

Barry Bickford is a convicted child killer, and his known victim was directly related to Janis.

However, there were a number of other serial killers active in and around 1968 in the New England and East Coast area who might also be considered potential suspects in the abduction and possible murder of Janis.

There is a similar unsolved missing person case from 1968 in Connecticut - that of Deborah Lee Spickler, age 13. Could there be a possible connection in these two cases?

I would need to review that specific case to develop an opinion.
