When did Jesse arrive to New Hampshire? Did he intend to hike there? When was he last seen?

Another missing person -- did he meet someone to go exploring or camping or sight-seeing? Did he go walking and get lost or hurt?
I don't know anything about this area -- ravines, residential property, nearby body of water?

I'm mildly familiar with the general part of the state. It's generally a little more populated than a lot of areas, but it's still pretty quiet. There is rugged terrain everywhere in New Hampshire and the description of the area is so general. There are two "ends" of Londonderry Branch Turnpike West. One end is a decidedly suburban neighborhood. The other end is a little more remote-seeming, but from the closet place where there's a google streetview shows no obvious trail head or parking. However, the closest place isn't the exact place, because google streetview skips an that area. Long way of saying that if you came to New Hampshire from California to enjoy some outdoor activities, it seems like you'd pick someplace more spectacular to spend time, and there are plenty of spectacularly beautiful places in New Hampshire.

According to a be-on-the-lookout alert issued Thursday night to police departments across the state, Lane had no known ties to New Hampshire and was last known to be living out of his car.

Around 11 a.m. Friday, Bow Police Chief Kenneth Miller reported on Facebook that officers were still looking for Lane in the area of the preserve and forest.

Police said Lane's body was found by Fish and Game and Bow police search teams in a wooded area off the trail.

Officials said his death does not appear to be suspicious, but an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Bow police said Lane's family has been notified. His relatives reported him missing Thursday afternoon, saying that he had been traveling across the country and is an avid camper, but they became concerned when they didn't hear from him.

So what exactly does this mean? Is this a suicide or did he take a spill or what? We never seem to learn that in these cases. It's probably none of my business but we'll never learn how to prevent the next senseless death unless we know the cause of the one right in front of us.

"No suspicious circumstances" is generally police talk for suicide.

If he was living out of his car, he may have been down on his luck and felt depressed.

The only positive is that his body was found, when so many others haven't been.

Well done to the NH police and other authorities involved.

RIP to Jesse.
