Right? What a nightmare of a situation. I was seeing FB posts shared about him being missing and when the story came out, I was totally horrified. Not what you would expect!!! So sad for his friends and family.

Wow.

Where I come from, divorce is usually the result of cheating in a relationship, not a horrific murder.

Britany Barron Expected To Plead Guilty in Decapitation Case - InDepthNH.org

Britany Barron, the Jaffrey woman who cut the head off her dead lover, will plead guilty on Monday to three counts of falsifying physical evidence as part of a plea agreement filed late Friday.

Britany Barron, 31, will plead guilty to three counts of falsifying physical evidence, and serve seven months in prison, under the terms of the agreement. The full sentence is for 18 months in prison, but she will get credit for time served since her September 2020 arrest.

Her husband Armando Barron, 30, is charged with murder for killing Britany Barron’s lover, Jonathan Amerault, 25, Sept. 19, 2020 in Rindge.

Britany Barron pleads guilty to falsifying evidence in Keene man's death

Britany Barron, 32, pleaded guilty to three felony charges of falsifying evidence in connection to the killing of 25-year-old Jonathan Amerault.

In the plea agreement, both sides agreed that when Britany Barron was questioned by investigators, she confessed, sharing details of the crime, and taking them to both locations where the victim was killed and where his body was left to help them gather evidence.

She could be eligible for parole after a year and a half. The victim's parents called the deal too lenient, and Agati read a statement from Amerault's parents in court.

"For hours and days after Jonathan was murdered, she committed unspeakable, barbaric crimes against him, then discarded him like something you would wipe off your shoe," Agati read.

A judge will consider the terms at a later sentencing hearing.
