My local news: Police will not comment on unconfirmed reports of body found in pond.

LE is not speaking with media at all..Mom told this reporter this am that LE told family NOT to believe any rumors & they're staying hopeful.

Diff local news: Very active since early this am..Employees sent home for day..Mood is somber.

The pond is 3 football fields away from where car was found.

Reporter spoke to Maine prison officials..X is NOT been cleared as POI.

She never mentioned finding a "body" but seriously looking for "evidence".

Well if it is not a body, it is something very significant judging by the number of officers, trucks, crime scene tape, etc....

I did Julessleuther. However, I would think if they were evidence there would be someone guarding it. I think that is the little brook you cross just before you enter the resort and those could be erosion tags. They have been marking a lot of waterways for the high water marks, my brook has several of them. These look hot pink, just like all the other "edge of water" tapes I've been seeing around. Just my thought.

I clearly recall LE talking about this 'snowmaking' pond tho..I've been trying to find something related to it (article or video or pc) but am having no luck.

The only thing I've got is an old copy of the ski area map that looks like it's showing more than one pond. I'm assuming the small one is the retention pond and the big one is the snowmaking pond, but it's hard to make it out for sure and often the artists take liberties with the geography on those maps as well.

When I put Google maps into street view, it only shows one pond: Mt. Cranmore area

This is so sad and not the outcome I hoped but the one I expected. No mother would leave their baby like that. I am just so glad they didn't harm the baby also. We have seen that before where both mother and child harmed.

We really do not know for sure that it's Krista's body they've recovered. I mean, chances are that it is, but we have no confirmation of that whatsoever.

Grew up in NH, ME, MA and sounds clear to me that he says "we need a dog"

Which comes out "can ya heah tha dog?"

A call went out on the scanner that there was a possible body in the snowmaking pond, according to witnesses.

Not sure if there is a thread downstairs on this, but going to check....

An afternoon press conference on the case has been cancelled and all inquiries referred to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

CONWAY, N.H. (AP) _ New Hampshire investigators have cancelled an afternoon press conference on a missing Maine woman and are referring all inquiries to the Attorney General's Office.

Assistant Attorney General Jane Young, who is in charge of the investigation, did not immediately return calls for comment. Young is one of the office's homicide prosecutors.
