What was his whereabouts at the time Laureen’s mother got the strange calls from California?

He was arrested in Manchester, NH in October of 1980 for diverting electrical currents, which was the same month Laureen's mom received those calls from California. So presumably he was in New Hampshire. But, he certainly had ties to California. That's where he lived before moving to NH and after moving away (and, it's where he met Marlyse Honeychurch and her two daughters, who he would later murder in NH).
