Still waiting for the 'Major Announcement' Mr. Renner...
Hmmm not what I was expecting but hopefully it helps somehow.

Someone please repeat it so I don't have to expose myself to the scary over there. I'm delicate.
Not an IT guy, but it sounds like he is tracking IP adresses of trolls visiting his blog or website and is turning it over to authorities. Supposedly he's getting a lot of activity from a few suspicious locations. I don't understand, could just be trolls interested in the case and have nothing to do with MM.

Okay I just read through Renner's site: did this little ruse have to do with finding Maura or with protecting his family?

Vasi's hit and run took place less than a mile from where maura was working.
Maura could've parked her car (initially) in the parking lot reserved for security that is right in front of the front door to the dorm maura was working at. It would've taken her 5 seconds to walk from the dorm to her car.
Even though Maura also lived less than 20 seconds from the dorm she was working at, if I had the opportunity to park my car right by the front door of the dorm i was scheduled to work at (so i could take a quick break at some point during my shift) I would take advantage of that instead of parking my car miles away.
Maura's shift was 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. She is required by law (I beileve) to get a break during her shift.
i wrote a whole long reply to this a couple weeks back and WS ate it up, then life got busy. I hesitate to to dig this up again, but i really want to reiterate that parking in front of the building she was working at, or her dorm, was NOT possible for longer than, say, 15 minutes.... maybe 30 if the parking people were somehow busy elsewhere. seriously, they were ou for blood... also, even if the car was waiting outside the door, stashing a car used in a hit & run in a non-obvious place and getting back to work would have taken way longer than her break allowed. it really, truly would have.
so the only way it's possible that she was the driver in that crime is if she had someone else in the car with her who immediately helped her cover it up and managed to keep that secret.
i agree there is a lot going on here that we don't know, but with the knowledge i have of the area and what was on local minds at the time, i am 99.99999999% sure she had nothing to do with that particular crime.
and yes, this is the short version of my reply![]()
My main problem with the Vasi angle is not that Maura may or may not have had enough time to do it, it is that she left a "cheating" email from Billy on top of her packed up room. I think this strongly indicates, that at least to Maura herself, her problems were personal and had to do with relationships.
I disagree, because if we're looking at her disappearance from the Vasi angle she would be purposely trying to mislead people. It could have been put there to throw people off about the real reason she was running away. Why else would she have printed an email like that anyway? It was left out there because she wanted it to be found and read.
