I have a problem accepting insantity for LaBarre. Yes, I believe she is nuts. Yes, I believe she is delusional. But legally insane I have a problem with.

Malcom Rogers, a psychiatrist testifying on LaBarre's behalf, said she suffered from paranoid delusions that most men were involved with pedophilia or incest or were homosexuals. According to Rogers, LaBarre believed she was an avenging angel sent by God to kill pedophiles and saw herself as a protector of children, and said she probably thought she was doing the right thing by killing Countie and Deloge.

So if she thinks she is sent by God to kill pedos- why in the police interview does she deny killing Countie? If she really thought God sent her to kill them, she would have been looking to police for praise for her actions. After all, she had accomplished her "mission."

In the recordings, LaBarre's alternating emotion and rage are evident as she hollers at Countie at times and appears to console him while he cries at other times.

If insane, would she be responsive to Countie and his emotions? My impression of those who are insane, is they are not responsive to others emotions.

I think they're right, she's a vicious and vile person trying to take advantage of the system in order to get off from what she's knowingly done.

Oh I think she is probably nuts. But I don't think she meets the legal definition of criminally insane. If she believed she was God's avenging angel- she wouldn't have tried to hide what she did to Countie and DeLoge. She would have thought everyone would agree with what she did.

I do think she was abused as a child, and I think she set out to make sure no man would ever be in a position to hurt her again. And I think that obsession grew into making every man pay for what happened to her.

I think the idea of being an avenging angel was dreamed up when she knew the gig was up. In fact, she'd probably prepared the notion of claiming this long before she was arrested. IMO she knew what she did was wrong, and she knew that trying to dispose of the evidence where she did, when she did, and with LE able to find it easily, she counted on those factors helping promote her "I'm crazy as a loon" scenario.

A man who had a six-year relationship with Sheila LaBarre testified he has a vanity plate that reads, "I'm Alive," and recalled they would fight every day and that she attacked him with scissors, a knife, an ax -- even a gun.

When asked by the defense the meaning of his vanity plate, James Brackett said, "I thought I'm lucky to be alive. It could have been me," later saying, "I believed she could have killed me."

A couple of ex lovers of LaBarre and witnesses that saw her with DeLoge have testified. LOL, one guy picked her up hitchiking and was concerned enough about her that he called police to see if she was wanted. When they said no- he took her to a motel and had sex with her!

A woman who said she was an angel sent from God to punish pedophiles was sane when she killed two boyfriends whose remains were found scattered on her farm, a jury found yesterday.

Because Sheila LaBarre already had admitted that the state could prove her guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, the jury's only task during the five-week trial was determining whether she was insane when she killed Michael Deloge in 2005 and Kenneth Countie in 2006.

She was sentenced immediately to life in prison without parole.
