I couldn't find a thread about the Stanley Cup playoffs this year, so I started one!
We're already in 2nd rounds, having lost LA Kings, Dallas Stars, Utah Mammoth, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round.

Last night Wild's lost 2-5 against the Avs. Avs goes to leading position with 2 games won against Wild.

Today's game​

Minnesota Wild - Colorado Avalanche @ 7PM EDT

I'm rooting for Buffalo. I'm an avid watcher of hockey, but I don't see them on the national games a lot, so I'm fairly unfamiliar with the roster. I don't feel the Sabres get a lot of notice. My "regular" teams are Detroit and Nashville. Alas, neither in the playoffs this year. I will say that I enjoy the playoffs more when "my teams" are not playing. Otherwise, I'm a nervous wreck!

Well, Buffalo hasn't made it to the playoffs since 2011. So congrats to them! I'm not too familiar with Buffalo, only know UPK because of his awesome name lol.

I'm rooting for Canes as a fan of them. For me it's a bit difficult to watch the games as they start in the middle of the night for me (timezones), but I manage to catch either the beginning or end of them every now and then.

During the regular season I am also rooting for Nashville, so sad to see them miss the playoffs. But I am excited to see Annunen goaltend in the World Championships in a couple of weeks.
