2 Bkilled, 12 wounded in shooting at N.J. house party

Two people were killed and 12 others wounded in a shooting at a house party in Cumberland County late Saturday night.

No arrest have been made in the case, police said.


New Jersey State Police responded to a home in the 1000 block of East Commerce Street shortly before midnight to find a 30-year-old man and 25-year-old woman dead of gunshot wounds.


Twelve other adults were struck by gunfire and taken to various hospitals.

Odd, people must have more information on the shooter aside from "police are searching for the gunman".

The other day, I was at work, and asked why the flag was at "half staff", it was for the "mass shooting".

I off handedly stated it should be at "half staff" every day...how true.

"Attorney General Grewal confirmed that investigators recovered multiple firearms and shell casings from the scene. Investigators are working to determine where the firearms originated from and whether they’ve been involved in other recent crimes in the area"

Does not say the shooters left the weapons, just that they were recovered from scene.

I thought there was early reporting that this was likely violence between two local gangs.

One article I read mentioned a possible "turf" war, but haven't heard much else with regard to that.
