Could it be Royce Wilson?

Physical feature: I'm suggesting Royce because he had a "pin" in his right leg, but I don't see any mention of it causing a scar. He could have hid the scar for all we know.

John Jay Ashley, Jr (MP#3853) went missing from Wilmington, DE in December of 1971. His height of 5’4” and weight of 130 would fall in line with the size 26”x26” pants found on deceased. John’s hair is described as black and close cropped, UID hair is short, black, kinky. Further, John had a right congenital hip defect (no mention if rod/hardware/or other procedure ever performed to correct). Dentals are unavailable for John and no mention of partial.

Circumstances of DisappearanceJohn J. Ashley, Jr. was last seen walking home after attending school and basketball practice. Another 17 year old Wilmington boy disappeared the same night and was later found drowned, Feb 1972 in Wilmington. NOTE: Mitrochondrial DNA testing of three siblings and the mother of John Ashley has excluded him from from any biological connection to OCME skeletal remains case 78-N-253 (dated 4-4-1978) which is NAMUS unidentified case #2185; these skeletal remains were strongly suspected of being the remains John Ashley.
