A Medford man is accused of killing his wife and then telling police she was napping.

Babu Natarajan, 40, is charged with the murder of Angammal Babu, 41, at their Regent Court home, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.

A Medford Township, New Jersey man is facing murder charges in the death of his wife. The man initially called 911 and said his wife had been napping but did not wake up, but the medical examiner determined her death was a homicide.

Police say Natarajan called 911 and told police his wife was tired and went to bed. The Burlington County medical examiner, however, said the autopsy tells another story.

Her cause of death was due to compression of her neck, and her death was ruled a homicide.
